Every year, the website Booking.com unveils its ranking of the most welcoming destinations in the world. From now on, it's the travelers' reviews that set the trends and become a true gauge to measure the hospitality of cities. And the Champagne-Ardenne is no exception! So, what’s the ranking?

And the big winner is…

Épernay ! The historic capital of champagne knows how to make guests feel welcome, according to the tourists who have stayed there. With its avenue of Champagne and its prestigious champagne houses,Its must-see non-touristic activities (like the Champagne Wine Museum at the Perrier Castle), the city of 22,000 residents has plenty to be proud of!

The other cities in the ranking

Châlons-en-Champagne : the “Sparkling Venice” (another champagne tale, of course) warmly welcomes tourists as it should. With its rich heritage and navigable canals, the city also sparkles thanks to cultural events like War on Screen (an international film festival) and Les Furies (a street arts festival). We're sure that the Châlons Fair, a true champagne institution, has also charmed many visitors !

Charleville-Mézières : located in the Ardennes, the birthplace of Arthur Rimbaud has a certain charm, far from the champagne. It captivates with its history, its cultural events (the World Festival of Puppet Theaters, the music festival Cabaret Vert) and its closeness to nature. One can easily imagine tourists being warmly welcomed over a local Ardennes beer.

Troyes : with its impressive medieval architecture, tourists can easily combine history and shopping thanks to the beloved...

e;bre outlet stores. And since everything always seems to come back to champagne, just know that the historic center of the city is shaped like a… Cchampagne cork!

Reims : while the Cité des Sacres may be behind some smaller towns, it remains a must-see in Champagne-Ardenne. Its majestic cathedral, grand champagne houses, rich cultural offerings, architectural gems, and renowned restaurants make it a destination where you are always warmly welcomed.

However, Champagne-Ardenne doesn’t make it into the ranking of the most welcoming regions in the country. Shall we do better next year?
