You love heading there for a coffee, a lunch break, or a Sunday stroll with family. The Butte Montmartre shines like a timeless bubble that immerses us in old Paris. With the crowds it sees every day, the famous hill faces many problems: damage, litter… To tackle this, a radical decision has been made by the City Hall of Paris.

Regulating the number of tourists in this particularly famous area
The goal of such a measure is to manage the influx to the hill in order to best preserve it and relieve the residents. Every year, Montmartre welcomes 11 million visitors. While car traffic is already being limited, with fewer tourists, we can expect a much more spacious neighborhood by summer 2025!
