Forget about the Finnish snow: it's right in the heart of Seine-et-Marne that one of the biggest international sled dog competitions of the year will take place. For the first time, the towns of Rebais and Saint-Léger are hosting the Resbacian Odyssey, an event that’s both sporty and supportive, promising a true journey to the Great North.

A Frosty Weekend with Champions and 500 Nordic Dogs
Huskies, malamutes, samoyeds, and laikas: over 500 dogs will line up at the starting line, guided by around fifty mushers from all over Europe. Among them is a key figure in the French mushing scene: Jean Combazard, a four-time world champion, who will share commentary, anecdotes, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at this still little-known sport in Île-de-France.
Before each start, get ready to feel the excitement rise along with the barks of these impressive athletes, eager to sprint into the race!

Solidarity, thrills, and encounters at the heart of the event
The Resbacienne Odyssey is not just a sports show: it's a solidarity adventure powered by Téléthon. A ParaSport Cani'Joëlette race will allow people with disabilities to experience the excitement alongside runners and pulling dogs, in a moment of emotion and sharing.
All weekend long, activities will help support research while discovering the world of dog sledding: sled rides for 5 euros, cuddle stands with the dogs for 2 euros, sale of roses and goodies... Access to the event is free, and secured areas will allow you to observe the teams in action up close.

The mushers will also be available to chat with visitors, introduce their dogs, and explain the nuances of this sport where the bond between humans and animals is at the heart of everything. Just a friendly reminder: for safety reasons, visitor dogs are not allowed on the site.
