This Wednesday, February 12th, a woman was spotted in the Paris metro walking her pet on a leash. Up to this point, you might say there’s nothing strange about it. However, there’s one detail that sets it apart—the animal in question was not a dog, but instead, it was a sheep... wearing a diaper. And to be completely honest, in front of such a sight, we’re left wondering whether we should laugh, cry, get upset, or try to save this poor sheep.
So many questions, so few answers…
For now, less than 24 hours after this strange discovery, the story of this sheep remains rather mysterious. According to various sources, the owner of the woolly creature came from Poland with her sheep, aiming to bring it to the capital. Tourist visit or a meeting m&eac...
Medicinal, the mystery is still whole for now. Before taking the metro, the animal had a 3-hour and 30-minute taxi ride from Nancy, after SNCF refused to let it board a train. A photo of Shaun (the cute nickname we've decided to give him, in tribute to the animated show Shaun the Sheep) was shared a little earlier on X.@norineisnorine #paris #metro #mouton ♬ original sound - Norine
Mixed Reactions
Anyway, this extremely funny video has certainly sparked a lot of reactions on social media. Some folks seem a bit jaded, claiming that nothing can surprise them anymore in the subway of the capital (a heartfelt nod to the little crab that was wandering around a while back). Others use this completely offbeat moment to crack their best jokes, most of them related to wearing a diaper, which, let’s be honest, adds an extra layer of absurdity to the scene. Finally, some are outraged by this situation and the treatment inflicted on this animal that is certainly not meant to be walked on a leash or take public transport. And we thank them for that. Shaun’s adventures remain a source of joy for all.
