A well-orchestrated PR stunt. From October 24 to 27, 2025, Orly is transforming into a Gaulish village. The public area of Orly 4 will become a central square this Friday where « friendliness reigns supreme » says ADP in a press release. For the airline group, « visitors are invited to share a meal worthy of Obélix’s feasts, celebrating with music and good cheer ».

Wild boar, pie, cold cuts, and Portuguese cod « coexist to take the taste buds of guests on a journey » between the village of Asterix and Portugal. This original initiative not only celebrates the airport’s history, but also its role in connecting

Culture and French heritage.

A Gallic village in the heart of Orly

The gigantic X, a symbol of this fleeting transformation, will adorn the airport's facade until October 27, reminding everyone that Paris-Orly is not just an air hub, but also a place for animations and encounters.

This week of festivities coincides with the 80th anniversary of the ADP group, the famous manager of the Parisian airports. Choosing Asterix and Obelix as the theme reflects the irreverent and festive spirit that has always surrounded Orly.

The guests, mostly from nearby towns and the international market of Rungis, can savor generous dishes in this vibrant and cheerful atmosphere.

Between tradition and modernity, a birthday like no other

Beyond the banquet, OrlyX is a nod to the creativity and cultural openness of airports. Since the famous "Dimanches à Orly" by Gilbert Bécaud, these places continue to inspire artists and offer unique experiences to travelers and residents of Val-de-Marne.

Blending culinary traditions, comic book worlds, and celebrating heritage, OrlyX proves that...an airport can turn into a real Gaulish village, for the duration of a weekend.
