It's time for the quirky news of the week: in 2024, we celebrate artiodactyl mammals! That's a surprise, isn't it? Basically, it's all about honoring camels, llamas, dromedaries, and other camelids. And for the occasion, the City of Paris is going all out by organizing an extraordinary parade!

The Crazy Camelids

Without missing a beat, while the UN has declared that 2024 will be the "International Year of the Camelids", the French Federation for the Development of Camelids in France and Europe (or FFDCFE for short), quickly seized this wild opportunity to organize a unique procession in Paris bringing together camels, dromedaries, llamas, and alpacas (and don't worry, none of the animals will be ridden).

For now, the exact route of this parade, which will take place on April 20, is not yet known. We only know that it is expected to start at 2:30 pm and pass by the Eiffel Tower, and around the headquarters of UNESCO, just next door still in the 7th arrondissement. 32 foreign delegations will be there, alongside Fren .Well, we can't wait to meet the camel breeders (because, you know, importing a camel is forbidden). In any case, we are really looking forward to it.
