Your name is Kevin, and are you tired of the whole world making fun of your name all the time? Well, today is your day! This Monday, March 17th, the biggest gathering of Kevins ever organized will take place in front of the Forum des Images, right in the heart of the capital, starting at 7:30 PM. And the good news is that you are welcome to come and support them, even if your name isn’t Kevin.

The Gathering of Kevins

This special gathering on this date isn’t to celebrate Saint Kevin (which is on June 3rd), but to mark the release of the documentary Sauvons les Kevin, featuring director Kevin Fafournoux, this Monday, March 17th at 7:30 PM at the Forum des Images. The 1 hour and 5 minutes film will then be aired on Paris Première on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:55 PM for those who couldn’t make it to the event.

Let's Save the Kevins

A documentary made by a Kevin, for Kevins, and with Kevins — what a brilliant idea! This is the bold endeavor taken on by Kevin Fafournoux, an artistic director, motion designer, and most importantly, the director of the documentary Let's Save the Kevins. Since 2022, he has started a crowdfunding campaign aimed at the release of a documentary about this popular name from the '90s. We actually mentioned it back then when the campaign was just launched.

« With a humorous angle, this film aims to analyze the stereotypes and clichés surrounding my name and see how they lead to prejudices and even discrimination, the director explains on his website. With a fun and educational ambition, it will help to understand these types of mechanisms and encourage the deconstruction of them for better reasoning.. And who knows, maybe even reverse the trend and bring Kevin back in style. »

And while we wait for the documentary to come out, you can always take a look at the Ulule project page or the Kevin Fafournoux website to learn more about the project's evolution, the director, or just about the name Kevin.
