After the rats, cockroaches, and bedbugs, it's a whole new type of animal that is supposedly invading the Parisian metro cars. At least, that's what we might think after watching a rather strange video posted on Thursday, June 27 by the slightly absurd (but absolutely hilarious) account "Les gens dans le métro."

Here, as he was probably fighting to make his way back to the sea, a crab was spotted on one of the Parisian metro lines, stuck between a seat and the wall of the carriage. A completely quirky video that has sparked a number of reactions on social media, each funnier than the last. So many questions, so few answers... For now, less than 24 hours after this strange discovery, the story of this crab remains a complete mystery. No information on the video post, not even on the line where this incident took place. No one has been able to explain the origin of this crab either. Considering its quite common appearance (no offense intended), we can imagine 2 theories. Firstly, it is a fugitive crab that, being carried in a plastic bag on the way back from a market, seized the opportunity of its life. After jumping off the moving train, it found itself heading towards Gare du Nord, trying to return to the sea in one way or another. Or secondly, in a reverse scenario, after hearing about Mayor Hidalgo's future swim (or the opening ceremony, who knows), this charming Breton crab decided to take a trip to the capital for a stroll.See why they made such a big deal.
