No one has been able to explain the origin of this crab either. Considering its quite common appearance (no offense intended), we can imagine 2 theories. Firstly, it is a fugitive crab that, being carried in a plastic bag on the way back from a market, seized the opportunity of its life. After jumping off the moving train, it found itself heading towards Gare du Nord, trying to return to the sea in one way or another. Or secondly, in a reverse scenario, after hearing about Mayor Hidalgo's future swim (or the opening ceremony, who knows), this charming Breton crab decided to take a trip to the capital for a stroll.See why they made such a big deal.
Very (very) funny reactions
Unfortunately, for now, the mystery remains unsolved on the why and how. And dear readers, we are absolutely confused, but we can't even tell you what happened to this poor cute crab. So, to make it up to you, we bring you a selection of the best reactions we found on Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram. And believe us, it's worth the detour.

"Which district is he running in?" "After a shark in "under the seine" Netflix presents a crab in "under the oar"." "Since the Seine is disgusting, they take the train. Where's the problem?" "There are crabs in the Seine doing Subway / Work / Sleep", "Be careful! Don't put your fingers between the seats, you might get a really strong pinch." The Serge le lapin remake.
In short, there are plenty more where that came from, and the conclusion is that people are very funny, and we recommend checking out the comments on the various publications, just to pass the time while waiting for the weekend!
