For the past few years, a luxury tourism trend has been growing around the globe, accessible only to the ultra-rich who want to explore remote, mysterious, and secret areas of our planet—and even the universe. After the ocean depths, the Moon could now become the new place to be.

What if, instead of just admiring it from your window, we told you that soon, you could spend an entire night on the Moon? That's the absolutely crazy bet launched by this Californian startup, which is already inviting you to book a stay in their future hotel, which they intend to build right on the Earth's satellite.


Aiming for the Moon

After underwater tourism, it’s space tourism that’s increasingly gaining popularity among wealthier populations. Some celebrities are already starting to take trips to space, and soon, some will even have the chance to spend entire stays up there. The American company Galactic Resource Utilization Space (GRU Space) plans to make this a reality in the coming years.

Build the first hotel on the Moon, to welcome the first guests by 2032. And the craziest part of this story is that you can already book your room… with a deposit ranging from 250,000 to 1 million dollars.


A lunar project…!

Initially, the company plans to carry out various testing phases between 2029 and 2031, including the deployment of experimental modules, for example. If these are successful, the hotel will be fully built on Earth using inflatable structures before being transported to the Moon in 2032 to welcome the first guests. It will, of course, be equipped with advanced life support systems to regulate oxygen, temperature, and water, as well as to provide protection against radiation and micrometeoroids.
