These 10 landscapes in France make you feel like you're on the other side of the world!

The Lispach Lake, or the Great Lakes Region in Canada

At the foot of the Vosges lies an incredible 10-hectare lake surrounded by huge conifers at 900 meters altitude. In the summer, a lovely one-and-a-half-hour walk is possible, and from May 1st to November 1st, you can go fishing. Perch, pike, carp, roach… Slip on your best shirt, set up in a camping chair, and enjoy one, two, or even ten beers: there you have it, you're Canadian! In winter, unfortunately, there's no ice fishing, but a thick layer of snow covers the lake and the surrounding trees, creating a peaceful and silent wonderland. For snow sports enthusiasts, a ski resort is just a fifteen-minute drive away.

The Cotentin, or the Vast Lands of Ireland

In the north of the Manche department, there is a timeless place. Cap, cliffs, beaches, dunes, islands… the landscapes follow one another with a distinctly Irish feel. A little love for Jobourg's nose in the Hague cape with its impressive cliffs, among the tallest in Europe. Whether it's raining, snowing, or windy, the show is always on!so impressive. But nothing compares to the sunset and its extraordinary colors. Keep your eyes wide open along the way: you'll find little monuments like the Lion's cave or sublime churches.

The Organs of Ille-sur-Têt, or the Sublime Turkish Landscapes

Just half an hour from Perpignan, you’ll find beautiful cliffs made of sand and clay, patiently sculpted by the elements. Amidst the lush nature of the region, these landscapes that seem almost from another planet can only be truly appreciated by wandering along its 5 million-year-old paths. We recommend autumn or spring to enjoy the most stunning colors.

After your visit, take a detour to the village of Castelnou with its narrow streets, its artisans, and why not check out the largest cave ```e of the world. A tasting is possible, and a drink made from wine and plants, that's hard to refuse.

Martigues, the Provençal Venice

In the Bouches-du-Rhône, you’ll find the charming city of Martigues. It's a source of inspiration for many artists like Raoul Dufy and Felix Ziem, but its canals connecting the Berre lagoon to the Mediterranean are just one of its many treasures. Special mention goes to the hiking along the coastline that unveils its many landscapes and remarkable light. Whether you spend your afternoon strolling along the quays of the fishing district or basking all day on the beach, Martigues will take you on a journey without leaving France.

The Camargue, or the Mexican lagoon of Yucatán

In this almost surreal region, you’ll find bulls, pink flamingos, over 350 species of birds, not to mention its iconic wild horses living in complete freedom. Nestled between the Rhône and the Mediterranean, the Camargue is also the only rice-producing region in France.

And how can we talk about the Camargue without mentioning its pink lakes, the salt flats of Aigues-Mortes? We recommend visiting at the beginning of the summer season to witness this nearly dreamlike spectacle.

The Pink Granite Coast, or the Sister of the Seychelles

The star of Côtes-d'Armor offers a unique mineral show that's been around for over 300 million years. Soft sandy coves, pink rocks with coppery reflections, turquoise waters, the pink granite coast easily outshines the most sought-after destinations. It is also home to one of the largest seabird colonies in Europe.

It’s a must-see on foot, of course, but also by bike along the customs path or right on the water in a kayak or on a paddleboard!

The Verdon Gorges, or the Grand Canyon of the Alps

A natural border between the Alps and Var, the Verdon Gorges are one of the most spectacular landscapes in France. You can enjoy hiking on the Martel trail, climbing its rocky façades, or trying out white-water sports… there’s always something fun to do! Alternatively, a scenic drive around the site, stopping in the charming nearby villages, is always a safe bet.

The Ideal Palace of the Postman Cheval, or One of Angkor's Temples

This monument might remind you of Cambodia, yet it is the result of 33 years of work by a single man in the middle of his vegetable garden. During his rounds, the postman of the region collected stones and transported them with his wheelbarrow to build a huge palace complete with its own museum, temple, caves, fountain, and even his tomb.

Today, this place is considered one of the pioneers of surrealist architecture and was designated a historical monument by André Malraux when he was a minister.

Corsica and Its Almost Tropical Paradises

It's impossible to make this list without mentioning Corsica. Two places stand out in particular on the island of beauty: the Lavezzi Islands and the Agriates Desert. The former features enormous polished granite blocks stacked on top of each other in perfectly clear water. To avoid the crowds, take the first boat in the morning and ask to be dropped off at a secluded beach. The more adventurous can rent a kayak to paddle their way there.

The Agriates Desert, on the other hand, is a gigan ```stunning éxtent of raw nature with sublime beaches and coves. This time, to avoid the crowds, take the coastal path on foot or by bike to access less accessible, and therefore more secluded sites.
