A Spanish mountain range tops the ranking
It is indeed the Picos de Europa, located in northern Spain, that has snagged the top spot this year. This limestone mountain range peaks at over 2,600 meters in altitude and is a real paradise for hikers and travelers seeking total disconnection. Here, you'll find the Cares Gorge, as well as charming typical villages like Cangas de Onís and Potes. This national park certainly boasts must-see spots like the Fuente Dé cable car, which takes you up for a spectacular panoramic view, as well as the Naranjo de Bulnes, the highest peak of the Picos, and the Ruta del Cares, one of the most famous hiking trails in Spain.
