Staying home to binge-watch all our feel-good series, going out to party, or jetting off to the other side of the world… When it comes to handling a breakup, the ways to react are as varied as they are numerous. The travel booking site Opodo looked into this and conducted a survey with 9,000 adults, including 1,000 French people. And it seems that post-breakup vacations are becoming a particularly popular trend among the folks in the Hexagon!


Travel to Move Forward 

The observation is clear: according to a survey conducted by Opodo, 72% of French people believe that traveling can be a solution to overcome a breakup. This is especially true for younger individuals, as 79% of those aged 18-34 consider vacationing post-breakup as a form of remedy

Depending on personalities, the type of trip chosen varies. For 32% of French people, going on vacation is a great opportunity to relax. 26% prefer partying to change their mindset. Cultural vacations are favored by only 18% of them, while 14% prefer sporty getaways and 4% focus on gastronomy
