Here's how to pay only €2 to get to Orly Airport

Now that the Orlybus has been discontinued, passengers are faced with paying over €10 to get to Paris - Orly Airport using metro line 14. But don’t worry, there are alternatives that only cost €2, and we’ll explain how!

It's official! Since Monday, March 3rd, the Orlybus, the bus line connecting Paris to Orly Airport, has been discontinued after 62 years of service. This decision comes after a decline in ridership following the introduction of Metro line 14. However, travelers face two major issues: line 14 is still frequently under construction, and the ticket costs €10.30. However, there is a handy tip to address both challenges!

What if you only spent 2€?

No worries, there's a way to save that 20.60€ you would spend on a round trip to Orly airport. If the bus has been replaced by the metro, the metro is not the only transport option to get to the airport. Other bus routes and especially tram lines also go there, as highlighted by the Figaro. And with the RATP transport fare update on January 1st, a bus or tram ride now costs only 2€ no matter where you’re headed in Île-de-France. If you have a Navigo Liberté + card, this amount drops to 1.60€.

The T7 tram from Villejuif - Louis Aragon will allow you to reach the airport in about thirty minutes for just €2! The same goes for the bus 5154 from Massy-Palaiseau, as well as the Noctiliens N31, N131, N139 from Gare de Lyon and N22 from Châtelet.


Line 14 will face significant disruptions in 2025

Just a reminder that Line 14 will experience various interruptions in the coming months. It will be closed all day on March 16, April 5 and 6, May 30 and 31, June 15 and 29, and from August 4 to 8. It will also completely close from 10 PM every Wednesday in March and April (except April 30), on May 14 and 21, as well as every Wednesday in June and July (except July 30).
