Christmas 2025 is approaching quickly, and every year, two types of people stand out during the holiday season: those who stay at home to celebrate with family and those who take the opportunity to go far away, very far. This time, we wanted to focus on our true wanderers to find the best destinations to visit this Christmas 2025.
The West of Sweden
When the holidays and winter come, the Scandinavian countries make us dream like never before. This year, let’s skip Lapland (which we love with all our hearts) and head towards the West of Sweden for a Christmas straight out of a movie. On the agenda: Christmas markets, concerts, lots of delicious treats, all in a wonderfully festive atmosphere.
warm and respectful of nature. On the gastronomy side? It promises to be as rich as what one could savor in France. Get ready for marinated herring, tender braised pig's feet, meatballs, roasted ham, or even rice porridge for dessert.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence
No need to travel far to enjoy a complete disconnect and, most importantly, a playground in nature. Aladinia has looked into the matter and meticulously examined all the French departments to rank the ten most suitable ones for adventurers. The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence topped the list with a score of 9.46/10, thanks in part to their high number of green spaces, hiking trails, Fédération Française de Vol libre practice areas, access to canyoning, and climbing routes. So if you're considering a sporty Christmas, you know where to go!

Martinique
Are you dreaming of a true disconnecting vacation? Head to the tropical forests, turquoise waters, and fine sandy beaches of the Martinique. You'll have the chance to experience local traditions: Creole Christmas carols, music everywhere, every day, and typical Martinican dishes. On your plate, you'll find spicy red blood sausage, caramelized ham with pineapple, or shrubb, a drink made from mandarin and sugar syrup. And on December 25th? It's a beach day, of course!

Alsace
It’s a cliché, but there’s a destination you just can’t get enough of at Christmas: our beloved Alsatian region. Whether it’s in Strasbourg, Colmar, Ribeauville, Riquewihr, or even Obernai and Sélestat for the more adventurous, the Alsatian towns and villages thrive to the rhythm of Christmas markets and are filled with the delicious aromas of mulled wine and spices. It's impossible to resist a tarta flambé, sauerkraut, or a pretzel for those with lighter appetites. The anis bredele (little anise cookies), gingerbread, or kougelhopf will delight those with a sweet tooth. All that’s left to do is wander from one charming little street to another, marveling at the unique architecture of the region.

Quebec
Get ready to layer up your clothing. Once December hits, Quebec doesn’t hold back on the cold. But we would never miss out on the fabulous snowy landscapes. Here, the streets come alive with colorful lights, while Old Quebec transforms into a Christmas village. Guaranteed magic !
