For a Dreamy Night
Volkshotel
Located just 15 minutes from the city center by bike and a mere 50 meters from the Wibautstraat metro station, the Volkhotel is the perfect spot for a creative break in an all-in-one establishment. On the ground floor, you’ll find a trendy bar where coworking spaces are next to cozy big armchairs, perfect for lounging with the hotel's newspaper and unwinding after a busy day of sightseeing. If the temperatures dip, you can warm up on the 8th floor, where a lovely spa - "Badplaats", in the Dutch style - features jacuzzis, a sauna, and a massage area that will soothe any weather-related aches. Then, before you head to try out Canvas, the rooftop restaurant - boasting 360° views of the city - where breakfast is also served, you can... beautiful·handsome in one of the rooms.
Rather "standard" or "special"? We chose originality by opting for the "White Bike Room", a room that's as quirky as it is romantic, featuring a video projector, a panoramic bathtub, and, as the name suggests, white bikes everywhere—hanging on the walls, by the bed (yes!), and even in the hotel parking lot, since bicycle rentals are included in the price. Comfort, helpfulness, and identity: the Volks ticks all the boxes.

Zoku
If Zoku is starting to make a name for itself in the business world, it’s because this international chain - located in Amsterdam, Vienna, Copenhagen, and since 2023, Paris (17th) - has been primarily designed for nomadic workers. Whether you’re looking to check in, work, chill, or snack, head to the top floor of the hotel, organized as a spacious glass coworking space where various atmospheres abound, featuring integrated offices and meeting rooms.
for rent by the day or half-day.A typical day at Zoku : in the morning, we drool over the breakfast buffet filled with savory and sweet delights, we leisurely enjoy it under the sun on the outdoor rooftop with a view of the Magere Brug - "the most beautiful bridge in Amsterdam", according to the staff, who are always so impartial - then we prepare a vitamin-packed meal in our loft to get ready for the next meeting. The mini-apartments, designed like a giant Tetris game, are adaptable to everyone’s needs thanks to the retractable walls and multifunctional furniture. Kitchen, living room, bathroom, table for 4, king-size bed, customizable artworks : we work in the best conditions, and we live (almost) better than in Paris.

Eetcafe de Magere Brug
If you want to get a closer look at the stunning bridge recommended by one of the Zoku hosts, head over to the Eetcafe, located right across from the landmark. In winter, snuggle up on the cozy bench inside the restaurant to savor some delicious bitterballen - a traditional Dutch snack usually served with mild mustard - or a vegetarian tart flambée.Seasonal asparagus tart (not typical, but extraordinary). And in the summer, the establishment triples its terrace to accommodate guests right on the deck, lounging in sunbeds, enjoying the sun's rays with a glass of wine in hand. La Dolce Vita can also be lived in Meda.

To explore the treasures of Dutch heritageAnne Frank House
The whole world knows her story: from July 1942 to the summer of 1944, Anne Frank hid in the Annex, a secret apartment right in the heart of Amsterdam, concealed within her father’s office, to escape the Nazi roundups that were sending Jews to concentration camps. During this confinement, the young teenager poured her thoughts and feelings, her fears, and her hopes into a precious diary, which was miraculously recovered by her father, the only member of the Annex to survive the war.

RijksmuseumIt is the most important museum in the Netherlands when it comes to visitor numbers and artworks: the Rijksmuseum, located in the iconic museum district, is a must-see in Amsterdam. This historic building, with its remarkable architecture, captivates visitors both with its facades and its 200 interior rooms, showcasing a vast art collection, primarily featuring paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. Van Gogh MuseumJust a stone's throw from the Rijksmuseum, there’s not just one or two, but an entire room full of self-portraits housed in the grand Van Gogh Museum! To celebrate one of the most famous painters from the Netherlands, Amsterdam dedicates an entire institution to the master of post-impressionism. Through chronological and thematic exhibitions, you’ll uncover the complex work of a man constantly in search of renewal, whose mere 10 years of career produced a stunning array of creations navigating between shadow and light. You'll also be moved by his story with his brother . Theo, whose brotherly and professional relationship, often through letters, has left us with an infinite tenderness. The two brothers are buried side by side in the cemetery of Auvers-sur-Oise (Val d'Oise).

Getting lost in the city with your loved oneA canal cruise
The ultimate tourist activity, we can all agree, and it lives up to its reputation! While there are dozens of excursion agencies in Amsterdam, ranging from big party boats to tiny open barges, we've found the perfect compromise: the tours offered by "Amsterdam Boat Adventures". For just 26 € you get 1.5 hours of floating fun on the canals of the Old Town, where you can sit back in a cozy boat with heated seats and a limited capacity - a maximum of 12 people. Bonus: if you're lucky, you might sail alongside Captain Attila, who will...was filled with mischievous, unbelievable legends and anecdotes about the Venice of the North.
See this post on InstagramAnother must-do: the Bloemenmarkt, a unique floating flower market in Europe. It’s a feast for the senses, as you step into colorful, fragrant shops where you can buy bulbs of all kinds, tulips in every color, and magnets galore. with a thousand and one shapes. For the culture, this market dates back to 1862, when merchants used barges to transport flowers from the suburbs to the city center and showcased the rarity of their cargo along the Singel canal. It's not me saying this, it's Attila. Keep up a bit.
