Skyscanner has taken a look at the most popular destinations for travelers in 2025 and made a ranking of the top ten most searched. Whether to dive in with your eyes closed or to avoid them, the choice is yours!

Asia Tops the Travel Destinations
It might be surprising, but even though social media makes it seem like everyone is currently in Thailand echoing the latest season of The White Lotus or in Brazil for the Rio Carnival, these aren’t the most sought-after destinations. In reality, Siem Reap in Cambodia has seen its search rate skyrocket by 706%. Okinawa in Japan is also a hit with +395%. Calabria in Italy rounds out the top three with +254%.

America is Absent!
Europe, Asia, and Africa continue to be super popular with travelers. The ranking continues with Tozeur in Tunisia (+246%), famously known as the legendary filming location of Star Wars. Next up is Kalamata in Greece (+198%), followed by Chiang Rai in Thailand — yes, there it is! — (+169%), Horta in the Azores (+111%), Nevsehir in Turkey (+108%), tied with Victoria in the Seychelles (+108%), and finally Tivat in Montenegro (+68%). Clearly, this year, the American continent isn’t topping the travel platform's favorites list!
