It's not every day that you can bring together ecology, economy, social responsibility, and environmental commitment. A resource center (or recycle center) encompasses all of that at once, so it's a win-win for your wallet and your karma.
Resource centers are the temples of solidarity economy: reduce, reuse, and recycle are the watchwords. It's a place where individuals can drop off items they no longer use: appliances, dishes, textiles, books, furniture, and even hardware. If they are still in working condition or repairable, the items will be refurbished and sold at very affordable prices.
Once inside, you can really find everything. And when we say everything, we mean everything: from the ultra-kitsch egg cup to the couch you need for your new apartment. In fact, for vintage and quirky object enthusiasts, resource centers are like Disneyland.

We start between Le Sentier and Etienne Marcel in au.In a 650 m2 space with a cozy atmosphere, the inhabitants of the first four districts can deposit anything they no longer use, while anyone can take all kinds of objects, from shirts to leather sofas.

The association doesn't just settle for being a recycling center. In addition to repairing, reusing, and reselling donated items at low prices, La Petite Rockette is also a Café Workshop, a workshop for bike repair and sales, a collaborative garden, an exhibition space... Everything we love.
You can also take a detour to its little sister, the solidarity shop La Toute Petite Rockette to shop for women's and children's clothing at mini prices.

In the 13th arrondissement, books, clothes, shoes, and trinkets come together at My Resource Store. At the entrance of the store, books that are too damaged to be sold are made available to visitors. And since we're sure to leave with quite a few things, we should bring the crime novels that have been sitting on our shelf for ages and that we haven't reread yet.
Aux Grands Voisins, the atmosphere is always about sharing and conviviality. You feel good here, time stops. With waste valorization, professional reintegration, and creative workshops, La Ressourcerie Créative is a true hub of creativity and humanity.
Do we still need to introduce Emmaüs? We know we can find wonders there, but we often forget about donating what we no longer want once we've done our pre-back-to-school clean-up. It makes room for the essentials we'll find down there, like a giant CD tower.
We wrap up this list with the Resource Center located in the 17th arrondissement, managed by the association 1000 Collectes. You can find clothes, shoes, books, and toys priced between 0.50€ and 5€. Isn't that amazing?
