There are moments that seem to float, not to exist, because the atmosphere is special, the weather unusual, the activity unusual, the emotions too strong. Here are 50 examples that plunge us into a parallel reality.

1. Being woken up in the middle of the night by the rain hitting the roof, and listening to it in the darkness before falling back asleep 2. Waking up very early to catch a plane 3.
