The Editor

We know it, cats are just too cute. If you're a feline lover, you're constantly looking for new places dedicated to your favorite animal, right? Good news, we've made a little selection of the coolest places in the capital for cats, and we promise not to judge you. So are you happy?

Cat cafes

Chat Mallows

It's the newest addition to the world of cat cafes: Chat Mallows opened its doors two years ago. Located in the heart of the 15th arrondissement, this cafe is nothing like its Parisian predecessors, as everything is arranged for our feline friends. From low tables with pointed ears to cat trees scattered throughout the cafe, brace yourself because here you are just a guest! But don't worry, the fifteen residents have been chosen for their docile and playful behavior, and as for hygiene, their paws stay far away from the preparation area for orders.. So you can eat in peace!

Café des Chats

This second Parisian address is part of the incomparable Café des Chats.Ductibles. After closing its first cat café, the Café des Chats still remains on Rue Sedaine, just a stone's throw from Bastille. Here, the animals are housed and fed after being rescued from the streets. They have been selected based on their sociability towards other cats, as well as humans. Special mention goes to the profits, of which a portion is donated to feline protection. Combining relaxation and doing good? We say yes.

The Cat Hotels

Aristide, the cat hotel

It's usually when you have to go on vacation that you regret a little bit having adopted Gribouille from Leboncoin three months ago. Cat sitter, neighbors, friends, no one can (or wants to) take care of your little fur ball. Don't stress, Aristide is here. This cat hotel, created in 2014, is a real lifesaver when it comes to taking care of your cat. So okay, you'll have to spend a few bucks, but we promise, your cat will thank you. Each room has been designed with a mezzanine, small stairs, and also cabins. And if you want to spoil them, you can even choose the "Dandy Cat" package."With a real Lion King Suite for your cat and their whole family.

Motelamatou

As if one address wasn't enough, we offer you a second cat boarding house, this time in the 15th district. Well, considering the name, there's no doubt: here we take care of cats like in a hotel. Open since 2004, Motelamatou is the capital's first feline hotel. In a large basement loft, the cats are housed in plexiglass suites, where each furry friend has a nap corner, and in the adjacent room, food bowl and litter box. Simply luxurious.

Spots dedicated to cats

The Pet Cemetery of Asnières

Alright, it might seem a bit creepy at first, but believe it or not, the Asnières pet cemetery is considered the first modern-era pet cemetery in the world. Located on the banks of the Seine, near the Clichy bridge, it was established in 1899 by Marguerite Durand. Even though it's called the "Dog Cemetery," there are also many cats buried there, as both species are represented equally. So, it's like a final resting place for our furry friends.

Representing 95% of the tenants all by themselves. So no, we're not talking about it so you can wallow in front of the hundreds of graves of cats who left too soon, but rather so you can have a laugh at some kitschy burial sites. And for your greatest happiness, you will come across dozens of felines who have made the cemetery their home, fed and cared for by a local association. Cemetery of Dogs 4, pont de Clichy - Asnières Metro Mairie de Clichy Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4:30pm The Cat by C215 If you love cats but also appreciate street art, we've found your ultimate dream: a mural representing an adorable little cat, six stories high, on the facade of a building in the 13th arrondissement. This artwork, created in April 2013 by Christian Guémy, aka C215, never fails to surprise passersby; it's one of the largest pieces created by the artist, known for his stencil technique as well as his use of urban space. Don't worry, you'll still be able to see it, and it's definitely a sight worth seeing! You won't miss it.
