Ah, this subway... We love it and hate it at the same time. A true symbol of Paris, it can ruin our lives, but also save them sometimes! Because we all have moments where we're just about to break everything when we're on the bus, the RER or the transilien, the book "Transports en commun : le carnet défouloir" gives us a whole bunch of tips to survive in this Parisian jungle. Here's a little preview.

1. The 10 commandments to respect in order to make your journey less painful

What if it was enough to respect 10 commandments for life in public transportation to be more pleasant? You can start by cultivating your love for the diversity of the human race, giving up your seat to the injured, or not losing your sense of humor...

2. The 6 good habits to avoid holding onto the bar

Do you also find those iron bars in public transport disgusting? And yet, they often save us from a good fall! If you really can't stand holding onto them, we suggest you clench your butt cheeks or focus on one point to maintain balance...

3. Some games to overcome boredom

Your phone is out of battery and, of course, you don't have a book with you. How about looking around to cure your boredom? Start by counting how many people are wearing white Stan Smith sneakers, how many rats are there, or even how many people have headphones versus earphones.

4. How to know if you are dealing with a really suspicious person like a "groper"

In these confined spaces such as the subway, bus or RER, we often come across really weird people like gropers, pushers or stalkers. A "groper", for example, is "a touchy-feely person," we are told. "He likes to touch, grope, brush against, pinch..." His quirks? "He still sucks his thumb, has a preference for rush hours."

5. Thinking of a quote to put things into perspective in a difficult situation

Example of a really difficult situation: "When someone bumps into you without apologizing and then yells at you if you dare to speak up."

The quote that will help you put things into perspective: "Stupid people are like clouds..."

a ose tout, c'est même à ça qu'on les reconnaît." Thank you to the "Tontons flingueurs!"»
