It has been several weeks since the summer vacation is behind us, but we don't let ourselves down and we are already thinking about the Christmas holidays, a good opportunity to travel! If you are looking for a luxurious yet affordable place, TripAdvisor has listed the best destinations for four-star hotels with breakfast included. We feel sorry for the foreigners who are going to Paris, our capital city has the third most expensive quality/price ratio! TripAdvisor explains its idea: "The TripIndex Breakfast compares the price of a night with breakfast in a selection of hotels, to a night in the same hotel when breakfast is taken in a local restaurant, during the months of October and November, in 37 key tourist cities around the world." Buenos Aires: the cheapest If you are looking for the deal of the year, it's in Buenos Aires. You'll need to go to save the most (not counting the plane ticket, of course). The capital of Argentina has the best value for money, with an average of €62.79 for a four-star night with breakfast included. In second place is Moscow with €77.20 and then San Jose in Costa Rica with €78.99. Now, if we're looking for the cheapest destinations per night in a hotel without counting breakfast, the ranking is the same.

New York: The Most Expensive

If we reverse and look at the most expensive destination for a hotel night with breakfast included, it's New York that takes the lead, at 464.21€. Tokyo comes in 2nd place with 349.08€ and Paris takes 3rd place with 348.80€. If we remove breakfast, the ranking remains the same for all three cities. And if we just look at the price of breakfast at the hotel compared to the price at a local restaurant, Istanbul has the cheapest option at 5.41€. However, if you have breakfast in Zurich at a hotel, it will cost you the not so modest amount of 26.12€. Would you like some pretzels at that price?
