Covent Garden Market
Located in the West End, Covent&nbs
Garden is the beating heart of theaters and entertainment, and one of our favorite things was to get lost in the paths of its famous "apple market". Originally, it only sold fresh products, but it gradually transformed, thanks to globalization, to offer a wide array of handcrafted items. Handmade soaps, jewelry, bags, clothing, a magician's booth, candies, household items: it's a great opportunity to bring back lots of souvenirs for loved ones, as long as you have a nice fortune to spend. Welcome to London!

For a refreshing stroll
Hyde Park
Once the property of the Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park was taken over by Henry VIII in 1536, becoming fully public in the 17th century, making it one of the oldest parks in the city. You can enjoy all sorts of activities here: from biking, sunbathing, rollerblading, to other sports, while being sheltered and enjoying the greenery away from the city noise. To make the most of your time, you can even rent deck chairs and sun loungers in certain areas of the park. Chill away!

St James's Park
Another park where Henry VIII had his say. In 1532, the King of England purchased the 23-hectare area of the park - which looked more like a marshland. ```euse - drains the marshes and uses it as one of his private hunting reserves. An area preserved until the 17th century, it was then transformed into a French-style garden. Charles II eventually gave it its contemporary appearance. To this day, it remains one of the most visited parks in London due to its proximity to the Buckingham Palace, where thousands of visitors bustle each day hoping to catch a glimpse of the Changing of the Guard. We especially loved it for the squirrels that reside there (they're particularly used to human presence), as well as for its artificial lake home to thousands of bird species, flowers, shrubs, and cypress trees.

South Bank
Once an industrial area, South Bank is now a vibrant zone at the heart of London's cultural scene. While one might think we should first hop on the iconic London Eye, doing so would cost us £42 (nearly 50 euros), and you know us at Bonbon, we love a good deal. So, we primarily explored the area by walking along the first part of the Queen’s Walk, a lovely stroll along the Thames from Westminster Bridge to Southwark, not forgetting to sip on a spritz (not local, oops) near the National Theatre, .a building with an architecture that is certainly austere but has a sleek programming.
