The Editor

The journey continues and takes us to Montpellier today. The 4-hour train ride went by quickly, quickly, quickly; and at a sweet, sweet, sweet price! Yes, if a friend has the SNCF Youth Card 18-27, thanks to the Last Minute Deals, they can share the same discounts with up to 4 companions! Upon arrival, the sun was waiting for us on the platform, we hugged it tightly and gave it a long kiss before starting our itinerary: tapenade, fortress, and acrobats. Come on, grab your sunscreen, we're going to Montpellier! ---

The best places to go!

> Eat a piece

For an affordable snack, we meet Chez Ouam. You can find a daily special for 9 euros, art openings, and tastings. La Cocotte keeps the Mediterranean under wraps, go for it, my dear! Lastly, Les Bains, with a higher budget, will delight the most refined taste buds.

A bit of culture

The Fabre Museum is one of the most important in the south of France. Its galleries bring together many paintings, sculptures, and other graphic arts.

On Friday nights, for a different experience, head to l'Esplanade and discover the Estivales. These gatherings, led by local wine and gastronomy producers, are an opportunity to discover the culinary heritage of the city. Three glasses of wine for 5 euros, small concerts, and lots of sunshine!

For a more modern getaway, visit La Panacôta.This place will delight you. It's a bit like the Montpellier 104: workshop, conference, children's games, exhibition, performance, projection, publication, meeting... So many reasons to take a look!

A terrace?

Take a break and enjoy a drink on one of the two central squares of the city: Place Jean Jaures, buzzing with students, is just what we were looking for. Come on, let's settle in at Café Joseph. Just a few steps away, Place de la Comédie is more touristy; that's perfect after all, what else should we do?!

Apéro!

The joke has gone on long enough. Without further ado, we head straight to Circus, as excited as carnival workers. We didn't find any acrobats, trainers, or illusionists, but we did find good beers and a super positive atmosphere. The decoration is cool too, worth mentioning.

It's party time!

To have a good time in the city center, head to the Rockstore or the Antirouille. The latter seems to be very into street art and its walls benefit from it. Additionally, the My Life Is a Week End parties are known for their great electronic music, occasionally. Finally, the summer in Montpellier is filled with numerous festivals. We highlight the Worldwide and the Tohu-Bohu.
