The Île-de-France countryside is brimming with delights to pick yourself. Apples, mushrooms, squash, walnuts... the autumn treats are plentiful, and it’s even more satisfying to taste them when you’ve picked them yourself. Slip on your wool jacket, grab your basket, and go be the Sunday picker!

Wild Berries
Black elderberry, rose hips, hawthorn… If you know how to recognize them, these berries can be found all around Paris: in the Vincennes woods, the Sceaux park, or the Sénart forest. The more knowledgeable folks use them in syrups, jams, or herbal teas. And the others just admire them, which is already pretty great! Tip: avoid polluted areas and always pick far away from the roads.
Happy foraging!
