The Editor

Are you longing to unwind after those long weeks of work? Now is the time to relax and enjoy the nighttime swimming pools in Paris. Because the usual hours don't really match our busy lifestyles, several of them stay open late into the evening. Follow the guide.

The swimming pools that play daily extra time

Aquaboulevard

For the more playful ones, the traditional Aquaboulevard stays open until 11 pm on weekdays and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. With its big slides, jacuzzis, wave pools and other counter-current rivers, we guarantee that you will happily swim nocturnally.

La Piscine Pailleron

Another great option for relaxation until late hours is La Piscine Pailleron, a classified historical monument. Next to the ice rink, the complex has a 33m sports pool with large windows, a large recreational pool with several aquatic wellness areas, open every night until 10:30 pm on weekdays and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Suzanne Berlioux

The magnificent Suzanne Berlioux, which has the advantage of being centrally located, opens its pools until 11 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and until 10 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Okay, we admit it's not really our favorite, but from a practical point of view, there's nothing better.

Monday

A great option awaits you to freshen up at the beginning of the week with Château-Landon Swimming Pool (open until 10pm). Château-Landon is the first swimming pool built in Paris, dating back to 1884. It was built in the ocean liner style, with private cabins on two floors overlooking the 25-meter mosaic-covered pool. Don't know about you, but that immediately motivated us.

eau-Landon - 10th Tuesday The choice expands for water activities on Tuesday evening. Until 10 pm, you can find Paul Valeyre (9th) and Catherine Lagatu (10th). In terms of traffic, inconvenient hours, and cleanliness, it's pretty much the same everywhere. If you're more towards the 16th, head to Henry de Montherlant. Otherwise, dive into our favorite pool, Georges Vallerey, in the 20th. It's beautiful. It's big. Okay, it's a bit far if you're not from the East of Paris, but I promise, it's worth it.

Wednesday

We vote for Drigny. Why? The changing rooms are spacious and they have always been kind to us.

Thursday

So, here, the competition is fierce until 10 PM! First, we have Saint-Merri (4th arrondissement), just a few minutes away from Pompidou. Then, we have Jean Boiteux (12th arrondissement), named after the first French Olympic swimming champion in history. Our favorite, Georges Vallerey (20th arrondissement), and also Alfred Nakache (20th arrondissement). However, the one that stands out the most is Keller Pool, well-known by Parisians and located in the heart of the Beaugrenelle neighborhood. Plus point: the pool is chlorine-free!

And for the night owls, let's not forget the lovely Joséphine Baker that welcomes us until 11pm. Yes, she's showing off a little with her "overflow" onto the Seine, giving the illusion of swimming there, but we have to admit that it's quite nice to enjoy a breath of fresh air by the water. It remains the perfect place for a backstroke under the stars!

Friday

If you missed out on the Keller pool on Thursday, you can find it again, as well as the Aspirant Dunand pool (14th arrondissement). But to relax with your family after a long week, we love the Champerret pool. Kick back and put your feet up in the relaxation area (complete with a hammam) and revive your weary spirit by swimming laps in a 25-meter sports pool. The kids, on the other hand, can have fun in the small pool (12.5 meters) and its little slide.

Saturday

For the insomniacs and those who pushed themselves too hard on Friday night, Pontoise Swimming Pool is open until midnight on Saturdays. It's perfect for a few laps in its pleasant retro-lit pool. From there to enjoying a midnight swim, it's just a kick away.
