The National Domain of Meudon

Head southwest of the capital to enjoy an immense green space filled with lovely little spots perfect for a stroll, a relaxing break, or even to enjoy the coolness of the water bodies. Whether it’s the Hangar Y, the ponds, or the breathtaking view of the capital from the city’s Observatory, you simply cannot miss this unique gem. It boasts 9 magical and historical hectares partly created by the famous André Le Nôtre, gardener to the Sun King, in 1680. In short, it’s a setting fit for Alice in Wonderland, directly accessible from Montparnasse.

The Park of Sceaux

Not only is it an absolutely charming place, but as soon as the nice days arrive, the Parc des Sceaux becomes the perfect place to admire the cherry blossoms. The estate offers everyone who wants to experience this unique moment a chance to immerse themselves in a Japanese atmosphere throughout the month of April. It’s in the Châtenay plain where two magnificent groves stand tall. To the south, visitors can admire beautiful white flowers, while to the north, they will discover 144 Japanese cherry trees adorned with pink blossoms.

The National Domain of Marly-le-Roi

After Versailles, here’s the second creation of the Sun King, a.k.a. Louis XVI, a.k.a. Dieudonné (yes, that was also one of his official nicknames). And he definitely had talent — or at least surrounded himself with talented people. The domain of Marly-le-Roi boasts over 50 hectares of walks and plants just waiting to be explored. And especially for those who are true Monicas, meaning the neat-freaks out there, this place might just be your vision of paradise. Everything is orderly and enchanting! polished, aligned, and maintained to perfection, one of the most satisfying things we've ever seen.

Georges-Valbon Park

3rd largest park in Île-de-France, the Georges-Valbon Park spans 5 municipalities including La Courneuve and Saint-Denis. From tiny little gnats to sheep, the park is teeming with animals and exceptional flora that changes with the seasons. We absolutely love its many sports trails along the water that are accessible to everyone! And the best part is that all the paths – especially the RER B and D – lead to Georges-Valbon Park, making it super convenient for Parisians.

The National Domain of Saint-Cloud

Imagined by one of the architects of the Palace of Versailles, Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the Saint-Cloud Park – filled with a boisterous array of fountains and sculptures – is a fantastic mix of delightful lawns for lounging on one side and a charming series of sunny terraces on the other! And if, like us, you’re a fan of all kinds of picnics and outdoor drinks with friends, we highly recommend this enchanting and altogether lovely setting that can be found at the end of line 10.

Best plan, since, as you may have understood, no need to take the RER!
