Smoul
The aroma of honey, argan oil, and cinnamon wafting from the kitchen convinced us. So, we thought we had to share this new address we found in the heart of the Odéon neighborhood. In the kitchen, it's Hanane who takes care of preparing delicious homemade dishes with sweet and spicy flavors. On the menu? Meat or vegan couscous with lots of delicious vegetables (carrots, turnips, pumpkin, onions, potatoes, zucchini, chickpeas...) and with 100% animal fat-free semolina. Bon appétit!

Loov
Tucked away in the Vendôme passage, this small Mediterranean shop offers us homemade dishes by the skilled hands of Yasmina. Here, each dish evolves according to the seasons and the days of the week! On the menu, you'll find stuffed eggplants on Mondays, cauliflower and chicken meatball tagine on Tuesdays, fish tagine on Wednesdays, and the famous couscous on Thursdays and Fridays. The secret to its deliciousness? The broth, of course! You can see it coming out of the steaming pot, and just by the smells and colors, you can tell it's made with a lot of love. Tried and more than approved!

Dar Mima
Fans of Jamel Debbouze, it's in the kitchen or almost that we find him on the heights of the Institut du monde arabe. The actor opened the Dar Mima at the beginning of 2023, a restaurant in tribute to his mother Fatima and to her good Moroccan cuisine. On the menu, an oriental menu signed by Jamel Debbouze and Laurent Gourcuff from Paris Society (Bambini, Bonnie, Perruche...). In a Mediterranean decor, we taste the secret recipes of the mother, from bread to Zaalouk salad to pastry and the unique couscous. And several evenings a week, the place becomes a festive restaurant with live music, guitars and percussion. Enjoy your meal.

! A unique menu with kemias, royal couscous and mint tea, all accompanied by a jukebox piano. After that, we go down two or three steps to shake our bodies with a confident dance step on the dancefloor adorned with a thousand disco balls (at least).Voir cette publication sur Instagram

Le Zerda Café
Among the first North African restaurants in Paris, Le Zerda Café is an unmissable figure of oriental couscous. Jaffar Achour and his son Aladdin (you can't make that up!) work together to ensure their customers have the best experience possible. An example? They steam their semolina and then sieve it to give it lightness before pouring a broth made with 3 different meats to enhance its flavor. A restaurant for big appetites and gourmets, but be careful with the post-meal nap!
