Bergamot Petals, by Nina Métayer
We’re starting strong with the Best Pastry Chef in the World for 2023 and 2024 : Nina Métayer, of course! In her pastry shops in Paris and La Rochelle, both named "Delicatesserie", the chef offers a collection full of elegance, evoking the awakening nature, reflecting the emotions of early blooms, or representing the bird taking flight. We especially recommend the assortment of confections Bergamot Petals, sharing cakes set on a crisp feuilletine, with 70% dark chocolate, praline, and a hint of fleur de sel, alongside Sacher cake, homemade praline with lime and lemon zests, bergamot creamy filling, and Earl Grey mousse. A visual wonder that’s perfectly balanced.

The Ritz's Egg with a Chef's Hat
Soft and gentle on the outside as well as the inside, the signature Easter egg François Perret is adorned with a lovely tilted chef's hat in honor of Auguste Escoffier, the famous chef of the Ritz. Gastronomic, delightful, and contemporary, its double shell is made of dark and white chocolate, beneath which you’ll discover marshmallow inserts mixed with a hazelnut praline and beautifully...cute; sprinkled with nutty bursts and a touch of fleur de sel. This marshmallow, as unexpected as it was delightful, was devoured by the team in just 10 minutes flat.

The floral egg by Michaël Bartocetti
Here is an egg, or rather, a work of art that exudes springtime. This year, chef Michaël Bartocetti has created a stunning rosebud, inspired by the compositions of American designer Jeff Leatham, known for the exquisite floral universe of the very posh George V. A flower in full bloom, sculpted from 75% dark chocolate from Belize Tulakulum, which contains a melting hazelnut praline with Cazette flour from Burgundy, paired with a salted butter caramel that brings round, comforting flavors and a crunchy heart.filled with whole caramelized hazelnuts and vanilla flower salt crystals. Heavy, you might say, and you'd be right, since this beautiful baby weighs close to 2 kilos! 😊

Lenôtre's Charlotte Bell
As Easter is a Christian celebration, and since the Notre-Dame Cathedral recently reopened its doors last December, this year, the chocolates from the renowned bakery Lenôtre pay tribute to the famous bells of the place of worship. Various recipes are available at each of the five shops, as well as for delivery. While the creations Éléonore (milk chocolate with hazelnut praline) and Amandine (dark chocolate with almond praline) are tempting, we highly recommend the bell Charlotte made of blond chocolate and pecan praline, sure to delight our taste buds!
