We're taking you to the Left Bank, but not just anywhere. Here is the crème de la crème of restaurants on the other side of the Seine. A great way to get off the beaten path...

Monteverdi

It's simple: we've rarely seen better when it comes to Italian cuisine (but no pizza, please!). Pasta with truffles to die for, divine risottos and fish, always perfect vegetables, a wine list worthy of the name, and a burrata... that's all we're telling you. And, as a bonus for the romantics, a pianist in the evening!

5, rue Guisarde - 6e

Lengué

The Lengué table is one of the most sought after in terms of Japanese gastronomy, even though Izakaya refers to a tapas bar. Dimly lit atmosphere, varied and very fresh bentos, impeccable miso soups: we love it. Note: excellent wines, which is rare for an Asian restaurant... But there is also sake to properly intoxicate yourself!

31, rue de la Parcheminerie - 5th

Fontana Rosa

Here is a sign that doesn't look like much. Behind a completely ordinary door, you enter a Sardinian restaurant with traditional decoration, but which benefits from a delightful inner courtyard terrace in fine weather... As much as their mosaic of octopus or their Sardinian ravioli with ricotta and orange zest. A delight!

28, boulevard Garibaldi - 15th

Lapérouse

A must-visit. Born in 1766, this 18th-century mansion transformed into a restaurant which once hosted Victor Hugo and George Sand offers very intimate small lounges with welcoming names (La Belle Otéro, Les Amours, Hennessy) for dining face to face with a rather refined French cuisine. Very, very chic.

51, quai des Grands Augustins - 6e
