The Best Vegan Restaurants in Paris for French Cuisine

Saveurs Veget’halles

This vegan restaurant, located in the heart of Paris at Châtelet for many years, deserves to be better known because, although the decor isn't the coziest, the menu is absolutely wonderful. Just like this little plant-based chicken made from soy protein served with a shallot sauce, those shrimp skewers, or that seitan escalope. The absolute favorite? This steaming pot of eggplants with coconut milk, basil, and soy protein—it's simply amazing!

Véro the other canteen

This is the story of a lunchtime canteen in the heart of the 11th, where you simply feel good. On the chalkboard, there are homemade lasagnas made with great ingredients, a steaming soup, and little rolls to whet your appetite, perfect for dipping in a little peanut sauce, but above all, a daily dish that never disappoints for less than fifteen euros. Go there with your eyes closed; you'll thank us later.

42 degrees

In the kitchens of this vegan, gluten-free, and raw restaurant in Paris, nothing goes above 42 degrees. Once you hit that magic number, foods start to cook and lose their nutritional value: that's the very concept of raw food and the restaurant – to keep all the goodness of the earth’s produce while preparing beautiful and tasty dishes. Like this burger, where the bun is made from marinated and dehydrated portobello mushrooms, with added sesame seeds. The dehydration or very low, very long cooking methods allow for so much creativity with the ingredients, and the fun is often in presenting pop dishes made with organic and raw foods: sushi, pizzas, burgers… It’s playful, healthy, and delicious!n.

Primeur

This little canteen in Belleville delights locals and curious passersby. On the tiny Lemon street, Primeur offers a delicious shepherd's pie and a burger.who has saved many of us from our hangovers over the years. Especially fresh, its little light bread, vegetable steak, hashbrowns, and mayo help soak up just the right amount. Trying it is loving it.

Theory Vegan Food

If you are hungry, really hungry, and want some street food…b>So good, filling, and guaranteed to make your stomach happy, forget everything you think you know and rush to Theory. First, because you can't possibly be disappointed no matter which dish you choose, and second, because you'll leave rolling like that big toy you played with in the schoolyard. You get the idea. On the menu here, delicious burgers at both of their locations in Paris and Levallois (a must-try is the Spicy Cajun with its wonderfully crispy soy coating), but also healthier bowls – don't miss the Roasted power bowl with its tamari-roasted soy mince.

Mopa

Mopa is one of those places that brings joy. Right in the heart of the Sentier district, this fully plant-based fast food spot offers some must-try burger recipes, but we’ve fallen head over heels for the Berliner kebap: pita bread, grilled plant-based meat, sautéed veggies, marinated raw vegetables, and a creamy white sauce. We devour it with fries and a brookie for dessert, and it’s just delightful. Beware, it’s (very) naughty!

Green Farmers

One of the newest spots in the capital has simply stolen our heart. Just a stone's throw from Place Pigalle, this 100% vegan fast-food joint serves delightfully indulgent smash burgers, and we could go on and on about them, but we’ll just suggest you try the Smash Truffle. The truffle sauce is still haunting our dreams! Let us know what you think!

Season Square

Originally a super cool blog featuring vegan recipes run by two friends, the concept blossomed into a restaurant opened in 2016 thanks to crowdfunding on Ulule. Large wooden tables in a green and bright atmosphere, burgers with grilled plant-based patties or made with jackfruit… If you venture into the 13th, you’ll know where to eat!

Hank

This is one of the most iconic spots. Hank was the first to offer a burger that’s both vegan and delicious, and the quality has remained top-notch ever since. Here, you can choose to try the famous Beyond Meat patty, but we recommend sticking with the classic, the homemade patty made with tofu, mushrooms, rice, grains, and spices—it’s a real treat. It’s genuine street food served on a platter, ordered at the counter, and you can enjoy it with fries and vegan mayo, and if you have room, a carrot cake that will blow your mind. The cheese drips down your hands, the pickles tickle your taste buds, and the bun just melts in your mouth.

Les Tontons Veg

Looking for the best vegan burger restaurant in Paris? Let me be honest with you: you’re in for a treat! Everything at Les Tontons Veg showcases an exceptional taste that leaves you craving more, and each burger is more tempting than the last. Don’t miss the excellent Arlette burger, named after Vincent's grandmother, packed with flavors from the South that remind us of childhood. And then there’s the Weon, inspired by South America, featuring peanut sauce, caramelized onions, fried plantains, fresh cheese, and a fried chicken-style seitan burger. The burger buns are wonderfully soft, the veggie patties are unbelievably realistic, and, oh my goodness, you have to try those herb-seasoned fries and panisses!

For Asian Food

Tien Hiang

This little Vietnamese restaurant tucked away at the end of Bichat Street has been a true institution since 1999. It may not look like much, but it is undeniably one of the best vegan Asian restaurants in Paris. 100% plant-based, the menu features dishes that don’t seem vegan at all: glazed pork, cashew chicken, beef in satay sauce, shrimp dumplings… The texture is similar to animal products, the imitation is striking, and the taste is incredible (try the spring rolls, clearly the best in Paris). Bonus: the very low prices. We’re in love with the "chicken" sautéed with black mushrooms served with sticky rice; we’re salivating just writing these lines!

Tien Hiang
14, rue Bichat – 10th
Vegan restaurant Paris 10
Every day from 12 PM to 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Closed on Tuesdays

Bodhi Vegan

Equally committed, here you won’t find a trace of meat, but instead, delightful alternatives that have a similar texture to various meats, just like at Tien Hiang. These two Vietnamese restaurants are not far from each other, and at Bodhi, we adore the skewers and tempuras. Plus, the chef saves unsold food to distribute to the homeless during outreach efforts.

Vegebowl

In the family of Vietnamese restaurants, I present to you Vegebowl. Opened after Tien Hiang by its former chef who decided to go solo, the restaurant offers a menu quite similar to Tien Hiang's.   Fried "chicken" (incredibly delicious), spring rolls, all the way to the black pepper "beef" hot pot… Here too, all the "meat" is made from expertly cooked textured soy protein.

Vege's Flavors

A fourth and final Vietnamese place worth mentioning is Vege's Flavors, an entirely vegetarian restaurant near Bastille. Spring rolls, dumplings, and ban cuon (you know, those flat dumplings filled with minced meat or black mushrooms), bo-bun and chicken made from textured soy proteins—whether you’re vegetarian or not, you’re going to love it, we promise!

Mori Café

Forgive us for what we're about to say: oh my goodness, it’s so delicious! In this little café in the Bastille neighborhood that offers only a few typical Japanese dishes enjoyed while sitting cross-legged on tatamis, you joyfully slurp up udon noodles served in a rich, thick, and creamy curry broth. Topped with spring onions, crunchy leeks, corn, and togarashi because we only have one life to be happy. Sometimes, we even dream about it at night.

Bloom Sushi

Forget about the sushi rolls from the corner Japanese place, here’s high-end Japanese cuisine! The king of botanical sushi, Christian Ventura, who reigns over two totally amazing spots in Montreal, has brought the concept across the ocean to settle right in the heart of the 17th. The result? An elegant yet cozy place, comfortable, 100% plant-based, and absolutely delicious, where incredibly tasty rolls come together, an "Omakase" tasting platter of plant-based salmon makis, futomaki, gyozas... all with a rare refinement. Here, everything is meant to be shared, and we wish the little plates would keep coming. Our favorite? The Mr. Crunch pieces, with shiitake, oyster mushrooms, avocado, and masago.rare and truffle tartar sauce. Enjoy it by candlelight, on a cozy bench, surrounded by dried flowers and soft lighting, with impeccable service. The perfect spot to impress your date.

Jah Jah by le Tricycle

Ready to enjoy!Have you ever tasted the best hot-dogs of your life? We promise we won't exaggerate! Those of us who love to party already know this spot, but for the rest, just wander a few steps away from Pigalle square to discover one of the coziest tables in the neighborhood. For the main course, enjoy a seasonal vegetable mafé paired with turmeric-infused broken rice, and for dessert, indulge in diablitos, those delightful little doughnuts filled with dark chocolate and drizzled with caramel and grated coconut. Each dish is an explosion of flavors, a delightful adventure, with thoughtful balance and surprise in every bite. It’s a taste sensation!

Le Potager de Charlotte

Le Potager de Charlotte is one of those rare places that proves vegetables are far from boring. Here, four amazing dishes created by chef David Valentin, including this millet and cauliflower cream with grilled sunchoke, roasted almond, green radish, and young spinach shoots. It’s paired with the star appetizer of the restaurant since its opening in 2016, the avocado styled like a hard-boiled egg with turmeric hummus, where the addition of kala namak salt gives the sensation of biting into a real egg. The precision of flavors and so many heartwarming memories come to mind with these words.
