Uncle

Uncle, it’s a one-way trip to Mexico. Right in the heart of the 8th, where you least expect it, this place opened in September 2024 and takes us on an exquisite journey to North America. In a warm atmosphere, you’ll be tempted by the many flavors that are both pleasurable and surprising. We start with one of the many cocktails on the menu, and you won’t be disappointed with the Picante Mango Margarita, fresh, fruity, and slightly spicy. Next, we dive into the tasty guacamole, paired with tequeños or nachos. For lunch, there are various burritos on the menu, while in the evening, we indulge in delicious tacos—and we guarantee that the vegetarian option won’t let you down. We wrap up the evening on a sweet note with Tres Leche and already look forward to the next time we treat ourselves to a colorful and gourmet escape!

Address: 1 Rue Saint-Philippe du Roule, 75008 Paris, France

Anahuacalli

Here, there's no question of Tex-Mex food like you usually see across the Atlantic. At Anahuacalli, you come to taste authentic Mexican cuisine in a typical restaurant: taquitos dorados (rolled corn tortillas filled with chicken), ceviche de pescado (fish fillet marinated with vegetables), or the famous mole poblano (turkey simmered in a chocolate sauce with a thousand and one spices). To top it off, the dishes are paired with wines from Mexico or California. A delight!

French District

You can't miss the lovely front of this Mexican restaurant in the 10th arrondissement! With a super cozy and colorful atmosphere, the different spaces flow together but each has its own vibe. Customers can choose between a large table with wooden benches, a more intimate lounge for a one-on-one  or chill vibes upstairs with comfy armchairs. As for the food, you can enjoy delicious tacos Cochinita Pibil made with pork wrapped in banana leaves, or the classic guacamole served with chips and corn.

Mexi&Co

This little grocery-restaurant is perfect for those on a budget. The place may not look like much, but the menu is quite tempting: cheese nachos, burritos, guacamole, chicken nachos... And the portions are rather generous. We suggest coming by for lunch to take advantage of the €10 deal (available on weekdays only).

Azteca

Established for over 30 years in the heart of Paris, Azteca is the oldest Mexican restaurant in the city. If you're looking to travel, you've come to the right place! With its decor straight out of Western films, Azteca truly feels like an authentic restaurant. Generous cuisine and a family-friendly atmosphere create the perfect combo for a successful meal. It's a tad pricier than its competitors, but the prices are still reasonable, with a starter + main course combo at €23.

Address: 7 Rue Sauval, 75001 Paris, France

Chipotle

Alright, we may be far from fine dining, but we just had to include Chipotle in our selection! A true institution in the United States, this fast-food chain opened its first restaurant in Paris two years ago. Burritos and tacos are just €9, and let me tell you, they are really delicious! You can customize your order, and almost all the ingredients are labeled organic. So, it’s a great quality-price ratio!

Candelaria

This is the must-visit Mexican place in the Marais. Known for its taqueria (with only a few seats available) and its hidden bar at the back, Candelaria is a must-try! You’ll find classic nachos and burritos for super affordable prices. A special mention goes to their original cocktails like the Guêpe Verte (tequila, cucumber, coriander, agave, lime, and chili) for €12 or the Gimlet with gin and lemon-ginger (€13).

Address: 52 Rue de Saintonge, 75003 Paris, France

Itacate

Located just a stone's throw from Les Halles, this charming little Mexican restaurant offers traditional dishes made with fresh ingredients. Quesadillas, tacos, tortillas—you'll find everything you've always dreamed of tasting. The prices are totally reasonable as the lunch special is just €12.50. And a little extra treat for dessert: you can choose between pastel 3 leches (a sponge cake soaked in milk and rum syrup) and pay de quejo (a cheese cake with a dulce de leche sauce).

Address: 94 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France

Luz Verde

This trendy and cozy bar is sure to attract food lovers. At Luz Verde, there's often a line, but that's just a chance to savor their delicious dishes even more. You'll find high-end tapas that blend typical Mexican ingredients like corn, chili, and red beans, all presented with a "French-style" plating. And the best part? The price is great—no more than €12 for a fantastic dish!

El Nopal

A nopal is a type of cactus shaped like a paddle found in Mexico. In Paris, it’s a charming small taqueria with a purple front that offers six incredibly delicious Mexican street food specialties. They serve the best burritos in the capital! Perfect for a quick meal, you can enjoy gorditas (corn fritters), tortas (round bread with meat, avocado, tomatoes, and red beans), or campechanas (seafood cocktails) with great enthusiasm in the Canal Saint-Martin or Pigalle neighborhoods.

El Guacamole

An authentic taqueria, street food style, that's part of the Anahuacallo and El Hacienda del Sol group. You won't spend hours here due to the limited space, but you'll joyfully savor the excellent napalitos (cactus). Not to mention the guacamole, which is among the best in Paris, along with mind-blowing burritos and three types of tacos (one fully loaded with guacamole just for fun), all best enjoyed with Sol beers or a tamarind juice straight from Mexico.

Zicatela Rex
