There are flavors that we will never get tired of, and the delicious dishes of Chinese cuisine are definitely among them. A symphony of spices, the blend of sweet and salty, melting vegetables, and tasty meats... Just thinking about it makes our mouths water!

The best Chinese restaurants in Paris

Mitao

After three years since opening, one thing is certain, Mitao has definitely gained quite a following. And for good reason: it's said that here you can find the best dumplings in SoPi and the finest grandma's pastries. Behind the stove, you’ll find Jade and her team preparing a plethora of small Asian dishes every day to enjoy on-site or to take away, along with delicious homemade cakes. Because yes, everything here is made on-site and lovingly cooked, and above all, with a blend of spices – specially mixed by Jade – that fills our taste buds with a thousand and one flavors, all at friendly prices.

Phoenix Peacock

Get ready to treat yourself at this little eatery on rue Saint-Lazare. A typical Chinese spot where you can enjoy big dishes, perfect for sharing (or not!). We love diving in with our chopsticks into the spicy lobster, sliced chicken with that amazing Sichuan flavor, grilled beef with black pepper, and tender pork stew... The cherry on top? You can indulge without breaking the bank with a very complete lunch deal at just €12.50. Enjoy it in a cozy little room on the ground floor or gather around the large tables upstairs with lazy Susans and all that good stuff.

Open every day from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM

WENZHOU The Chinese Canteen

The Wenzhou restaurant, opened in 1992, was founded by Mr. Jinda XU, the father of Alexandre XU. A true institution, you might say! Soon it's been 30 years for this little hole-in-the-wall on rue de Belleville where you can indulge in typical dishes: mouthwatering dumplings and a soybean noodle / minced beef dish that has won over the whole neighborhood! So go on, treat yourselves! A restaurant that’s bursting with ideas… For a fun fact, this is where we used to have our post-deadline lunches, 10 years ago already!

Big Bao

The address that all fans of neo-Asian dishes adore. Here, you can find some of the classics from the Bao Family – like baozi or chao fan – but the real stars of the show are no longer the small dumplings you can find on rue Saint-Denis; instead, it’s the steamed fish and a whole Peking duck served to share with a few friends, and enjoyed wrapped in delicious little crepes. The cherry on top? We savor all this by the Canal Saint-Martin, making for a lovely meal by the water.

Delice of Condorcet

Here’s one of those secrets we’d love to keep to ourselves, but it's impossible not to share the delightful surprise that is Delice of Condorcet, this little Chinese gem that's hard to find! We’re served absolutely divine noodles in all colors, accompanied by lovely veggies, and a bunch of adorable pastel rainbow dumplings that are so cute we almost hesitate to take a bite. The dumpling dough is thin and delicate, and the fillings (pork, beef, shrimp, or vegetarian) are simply exquisite. Our taste buds can hardly believe how surprising the flavors are!

I’m right here 不见不散

All you need to do is watch the hungry folks dive into their dishes by the window and you’ll be drooling in no time. No doubt about it, here you will savor next-level skewers! Perfect for a winter stop, indulgence is key and the Sichuan specialties are inspired by Chinese street food. Skewers of lamb, beef, and gizzards, lotus roots, enoki… it’s all on the menu. You can even treat yourself to century egg tofu!

Three times the spice

Sensitive taste buds, steer clear of this place because, as the name suggests, spice is the star here. This little sibling of "Two times the spice" has specialized in noodles and dumplings, all set in a modern space with lovely wooden tables and ceramic cups. And for those who are a bit shy around spice, you can always go for the Sichuan dumplings with melt-in-your-mouth, elastic dough – the spice is definitely manageable!

Belt Noodles

Here, you get to choose the width of your noodles, your broth, whether vegetarian or meaty, spicy or not. We’re crazy about the Biang Biang noodles, the house specialty, the least expensive (9.80€) but supposedly the best. XXL belt noodles, super wide for a seriously indulgent treat, with boiling chili oil, garlic, coriander, chives, Chinese cabbage, all in a small broth that is just the right level of spicy, a secret of the house. It's hot, we slurp it up, it flows down the throat, we melt. The broth is perfect, the high-quality chili doesn’t overwhelm the palate, it delicately enhances an already harmonious dish.

Mian Guan

Do you hear that sound? It’s the noodles being prepared right before our eyes! We can see them in the distance, stretching that elastic dough with a swaying motion, creating a delightful thud against the countertop. All this is done by pure arm strength! If the little place doesn’t look fancy, watching them in action is super impressive and quite enchanting. The joy is complete when the noodles arrive, gently cradled in a rich broth, umami to the max. Served in different thicknesses and with all kinds of sauces, they instantly warm up the taste buds. A big shoutout for the stir-fried noodles with marinated pork—you're going to get hooked!

L’Impérial Choisy

On the left, there are glazed ducks hanging in the window, and on the right, the entrance door. We decide to go for both options: stepping into this Chinese restaurant and enjoying some glazed duck. Judging by the long line, it's worth the wait; no one comes out unhappy, and everyone leaves satisfied!
