Top gourmet restaurants in Paris: our star-studded guide
Whether you're a food connoisseur or simply looking for a special dinner, the gourmet restaurants in Paris have everything you need to satisfy your cravings. You can indulge in creative and sophisticated dishes prepared by world-renowned chefs, or opt for traditional French dishes reimagined with a modern twist. Here's our top pick of the best gourmet spots in the capital.
TÔ, the Franco-Japanese gourmet experience
In the heart of the 10th arrondissement, just a few steps from the picturesque Canal Saint-Martin, lies a delightful new address where French cuisine and Japanese notes blend joyfully. In just a few weeks, the gourmet restaurant TÔ has captivated our taste buds and reinforced our love for simple yet refined menus. While the cuisine at TÔ has a distinct flair for Japanese flavors, it's primarily because the team is exclusively from that beautiful country, the patrons. We even speak the same language with his team. Chef Ryo Miyazaki, a veteran of Michelin-starred restaurants, adds a French savoir-faire gained from many years of experience with a subtle and creative touch pulled straight from his roots. On the menu – which changes regularly – you'll find dishes that are both delicious and gourmet, like beef onglet with shiso chimichurri sauce, marinated salmon carpaccio with wasabi sauce, or miso-marinated salmon with yuzu date puree; all at more than reasonable prices.

Pavyllon by Yannick Alléno
Chef Yannick Alléno, a three-star Michelin holder since 2007, opened this third location in 2019, envisioning it as a gourmet counter where everyone gathers around a large open kitchen, in a chic yet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for special occasions. From there, you can enjoy the delightful dance of chefs, commis, and sauciers... On your plate, an incredible waltz of flavors and textures perfectly balanced. While the menu (which is very generous) changes regularly and features only seasonal products, we highly recommend starting with the scallop dumplings, Duxelles, and raw preparations.from Paris, followed by the textured turbot, a fricassee of razor clams and samphire, accompanied by black shallots and pickled onions, all swimming in chive broth. And for dessert, you absolutely cannot miss the hot chocolate with soft cream, its buckwheat crystal, and a quenelle of nutty brown butter. Unforgettable!

The practical training restaurant of Lycée Jean Drouant
Because not everyone can afford a fancy meal, we found a solution to let you enjoy it without breaking the bank this year. How? From Monday to Thursday, between 12:15 PM and 2:15 PM, and every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15 PM to 10 PM, Paris's first hospitality school offers an unbeatable gourmet menu. There are three menu options to choose from: the gastro lunch (starter, main, dessert) for €17, the gastro dinner (with appetizers included) for €23, or the themed menu for €30. Want an example of the menu?
Morel mushroom cream, cheese grissini, Morteau chips, egg cocotte style, smoked bacon emulsion, golden string, herb-crusted pike-perch with mustard sauce, small vegetables and gourmet rice, the "temeraire" revisited (crumble and creamy vanilla flambeed apples with Jura marc), and for a (sweet) finish, delightful treats.

La Tour d'Argent
It's the Tour d’Argent that takes the crown as the oldest restaurant in Paris. Considered one of the top spots for chic dining, Tour d’Argent now attracts a more touristy crowd than before, especially since losing one of its two stars in the Michelin Guide. For centuries, figures like Henri III, Richelieu, Sacha Guitry, Alfred de Musset, and more recently, John Kennedy, have dined in this prestigious Parisian venue, where the breathtaking view of Paris has captivated many. On the menu, luxury gastronomy shines with delights like Mazarine duckling, truffled sole fillet, and Matignon veal tenderloin.

Le Ciel de Paris
A good meal is great, so if the atmosphere is...it's cozy and we almost have Paris to ourselves, it's the jackpot. For that, look no further. We're climbing, or rather soaring on the roof of the infernal Montparnasse Tower for a dinner in this panoramic restaurant in Paris that you'll definitely remember. And then, a gourmet restaurant in the artists' district of Paris, that's an experience you have to try at least once.

starred in the world. Yeah, definitely! Her restaurant, La Maison Pic in Valence, has a fabulous 5 stars, and her Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, La Dame de Pic, has one too. So, let me tell you, having lunch at her place is quite the event! For just €59 at noon, you can savor some farm-fresh little grey snails from Ardèche with confit Charlotte potatoes accompanied by a sweet garlic parmentier cream. You’ll also enjoy a red mullet with “its liver roast,” served with wine sauce and sweet shallots. And don’t forget about the old rum baba that will awaken your senses!
