If I tell you: accras, bokit, marlin, boudin, plantain banana, soursop, hot pepper sauce, christophine, and spiced rum? Yes, you understood well, here is the top of Caribbean gastronomy in Paris. Ready to travel to Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, or French Guiana while staying in Paris and the Paris region? Far from the clichés, Creole and Caribbean cuisine have many surprises in store for you...

The Showbiz Favorite: Babylone Bis

We can no longer introduce the restaurant Babylone Bis, it’s a haven for stars: from Rihanna to Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg to Marvin Gaye, Denzel Washington and many more, the list is too long to mention everyone, that's for sure. In addition to being open all night, the dishes are delicious, efficient, and very well served. It didn't take much more to seduce us night owls. On the menu, cod fritters, competition-worthy braised chicken accompanied by flavorful plantain bananas, or coconut rice. The perfect place to enjoy a good, strong, and aromatic rum punch.

The "sun juice" masterpiece: La Rhumerie

As the name suggests, you are in rum heaven. This true institution on Boulevard Saint-Germain is the place to be for all rum-based cocktails, including the excellent ti'punch. Undoubtedly the best in Paname with rums from Bally, Neisson, Clément or Montebello. The Caribbean spirit is felt in the "sun juice" liqueurs and also in the hearty and colorful gastronomy that La Rhumerie offers. While the decor has evolved a lot, the terrace is always packed from morning till night. Additional perk of the place: exhibitions showcasing the art of the Caribbean. Here, we nurture both the body and the soul.

Just a stone's throw from Place de la Bastille, with its blue storefront and Creole-colored fabrics, Caffé Créole lives up to its name. It's the place for Creole cuisine that takes you on a journey through various flavors and cultures: from samosas to accras, from rougail sausage to chicken colombo, not forgetting the obligatory Creole plates. And for the rum lovers - whether it's white, aged, straw or amber rum - we love to enjoy them on the terrace or inside.

We also love the continuous service from 12h to 23h20 and the happy hour from 16h to 20h every day. The best part: this renowned Creole gastronomy spot offers to prepare dishes and cakes for your special events...

The Best Bokit: Bamn Bokit

This is a food truck that you must have seen around the 19th arrondissement. Bamn Bokit has become a restaurant. The cod fritters are said to be delicious. But here, it's really the Bokit that we love to taste. This Guadeloupean sandwich has the particularity of being fried in a pot of sunflower oil. You have the traditional Bokit with cod, chicken, ham-cheese or sausage, and the most surprising, the green Bokit special Lambi (an Antillean mollusk). All accompanied by delicious sweet potato fries. If you haven't tried Bokit yet, now is the time to discover Bamn Bokit's.

The most tropical: Pleasure of the tropics in Sartrouville

If you happen to be in Sartrouville, don't be afraid to venture into the alleys of the Sureaux Business Park next to Carrefour. Here, the menu is generous: bokits with all kinds of toppings and flavors, agoulou (sandwiches with large brioche bread) for the hungry, accras, meat pastries, creole-style chicken fricassee, and the incredibly tasty creole rice and desserts are to die for. The best part: karaoke nights are organized in the restaurant. Between eating, dancing and singing, you're guaranteed to have a great time.anter, you don't even have to choose anymore! 😉
