Jeffrey Cagnes

This year, the pastry chef takes us on a delightful journey to Italy with a signature yule log that eerily resembles the Tower of Pisa. On the menu: a sponge cake and creamy chocolate, delicately infused caramel with coffee, a crunchy coffee layer, and an ultra-airy mascarpone mousse with Madagascar vanilla.

Price: €95 for 8 people
Available by order only from December 15

Ginko

Once again, the Franco-Japanese bakery takes us on a delightful journey with creations that are as original as they are tasty. Rice pudding, a creamy mousse with genmaicha and seaweed jelly, or pear, honey, and saffron, the balance is always subtle, the textures extremely satisfying, and the appearance perfect. We shouldn't say it, but these are our little favorites of the year!

The temple of macarons hasn’t lost its way, and this year it brings us a log shaped like… macarons. It's a creation as light as it is enchanting, combining vanilla and almond in a festival of textures. Crispy, soft, mousse-like, crunchy — it has everything to send our taste buds to heaven in just one bite.

Amorino

This year, the temple of Italian ice cream in Paris is treating us to a beautiful frozen log shaped like a Christmas tree, inspired by the Cremino, a traditional dessert from Italy. Vanilla gelato from Bourbon to Madagascar and Mawardi pistachio gelato combine with a caramel insert and a dark chocolate crunch for a dessert that is as fresh as it is indulgent.

Lenôtre

This is by far the most refined and impressive creation in this selection. Behind a magical chocolate train and marshmallow lies an amazing cocoa log that’s all about delicateness. Chocolate biscuit, hazelnut praline, chocolate cream, and crunchy hazelnut come together to create an ensemble with perfect balance. Yes, it's pricey, but it serves way more portions than it seems.

La Felicita

No, it’s not a huge wheel of parmesan, but a delicious log. At La Felicita, this Christmas will be cheesy, but only in a trompe-l'œil style, as the inside of the pastry is filled with flavors of pecans, vanilla, white chocolate and intense praline. A perfect illusion that combines Italian tradition with festive spirit.
