The right tools

The key to a successful Candlemas is to equip yourself well. It might surprise you, but the secret to a crepe that is both thin and fluffy lies in two essential ingredients: the resting time of the batter (count on a good hour), and the quality of the pan! On our side, we had the pleasure of testing two fantastic options.

If your kitchen looks like a craft store bursting with all sorts of colors, there's no doubt that the crepe maker you need is from Tefal, which has just launched a new range of ultra colorful utensils, and even a heart-shaped pan for those wanting to combine Candlemas with Valentine's Day.

Atma is excited to introduce their brand new crepe maker in stainless steel, a timeless essential that offers a wonderful alternative for a healthier kitchen. It may be a bit more of an investment, but it’s guaranteed for life! And we can't wait to see what you whip up with it!; the prospect of crepes until the end of days puts a smile on our face…

The Perfect Toppings

Once the crêpes have been beautifully made, it’s time to figure out how to fill them. Luckily for you, here at Bonbon, we’ve decided to share our favorite picks of the year. And we’re starting with La Grande Épicerie de Paris.

, which offers us a whole range that will dazzle the purists. Strawberry jam, salted butter caramel, chestnut cream, and honey, classic flavors that are perfectly mastered and that we absolutely love.

For those who swear by peanut butter, you're sure to find your happiness at Andros with their BeNuts range. Whether you like it creamy, crunchy, or 100% peanut, there’s something for everyone!

And for those who love original experiences, our number 1 of the year is definitely the vanilla caviar spread by Yannick Alléno. It's an explosion of flavors, blending the creaminess of white chocolate and the power of vanilla. A true delight.

For the Lazy Sweet Tooth

Let’s take a tour with the top chefs

If you’re in the mood to celebrate Candlemas, but cooking isn’t really your thing, no worries! Not only can we understand you, but the good news is that some of the greatest chefs in Paris are ready to cook for you! On our side, we totally approve of Jeffrey Cagnes' delicious little bundles, which come in tasty flavors like mango, blueberry, or chocolate.

If you're looking for a dessert to share, let's head over to Claire Heitzler to discover her incredible fluffy crepe cakes. These creations are ultra-soft, mixing vanilla crepes with whipped egg whites, and chestnut cream and citrus or hazelnut spread. Yum!

Let's treat ourselves to a little restaurant outing!

And for those who might not even have the courage to head to the store, or who prefer to enjoy a delicious butter-sugar treat made to perfection, don’t worry, Le Bonbon is once again here for you, thanks to its selection of the best creperies in the capital.

Even better, last year, we took it a step further and tested all the crêperies on Rue du Montparnasse, to find the best one. It wasn't always an easy task, but in the end, what could be better than a crêpe marathon to celebrate Candlemas?
