The Cardinal Lounge

Looking for your new nocturnal sanctuary in the capital city? Say no more. Believe it or not, but it's on the first floor of the Le Cardinal brasserie where the trendiest Parisians gather, because there, above the comforting French dishes that warm our hearts as the days grow shorter, we discover an Art Deco space where private parties are not told, but lived. The tone is set: lounge vibes, cocktails, and ambiance, please. The Cardinal Lounge also offers a finger-licking menu that stays true to its ground floor offerings: scallop tartare with samphire and yuzu; beef tataki; smoked salmon rolls with bruccio... Between forkfuls, we continue the evening until the early hours of the morning, or close to it, to the rhythm of DJ sets, with a glass of champagne in hand under the neon lights.

La Compagnie des vins surnaturels

Looking for a cozy spot to enjoy an excellent glass of wine? Take a trip to La Compagnie des vins surnaturels (by the creators of L'Experimental Cocktail Club). A chic and comfortable wine cellar that offers a selection of the best wines, pleasing both wine enthusiasts and others. If you order the "mystery wine glass" and guess correctly, the house will give you the bottle. The clientele, like the bar, is refined, but be cautious as prices can quickly rise.

The Moonshiner

Bastille, at first glance a simple pizzeria, at first glance. Walk through the restaurant, the cold room, and you will discover one of the best secret bars in Paris, if not the best. Between the restaurant and the bar, there is only a cold room, yet in reality there is a whole world between the two. Go from classic to ultra-chic in just a few steps, and watch where you step, it's (very very) very dark. Taste one of the many whisky-based cocktails that The Moonshiner offers.

La Mezcaleria

Yet another highly renowned secret bar in the capital, this time with Mexican vibes. It's at the entrance of the 1k Paris hotel that you'll encounter a traditional Mexican wrestler or a Latin hostess, who will guide you towards the Mezcaleria. So, you have a fifty-fifty chance of being in good company. Once inside, the cocktails are tailored to your mood. Pull out the card corresponding to your daily mood and enjoy the different Mezcal-based cocktails. Caliente!

Bar Hemingway

A palace among the oldest in Paris, the Ritz has welcomed the famous writer Ernest Hemingway into its lair. He had the habit of reshaping the world while leaning on the bar, sometimes alone, sometimes accompanied by Gary Cooper or other celebrities of the time. Legend even says that the writer liberated the bar from the Germans during the Liberation, showing just how attached he was to it. A must-visit in the capital, it serves delicious cocktails crafted by one of the world's best bartenders, Colin Field.

The Hoxton

The Hoxton Hotel is the latest addition to the chain of the same name, which already has two hotels in London and one in Amsterdam. Inside, it is very far from the classic hotel, with an authentic Parisian cobblestone floor, a large glass roof, and a decor straight out of a home decoration magazine. For a vintage touch, head to Jacque's Bar: an intimate bar with floral wallpaper and old-fashioned furniture, where you will be served cocktails by the Quixotic team, who are also behind Candelaria and Glass. A safe bet!

Jefrey's

Nestled in the Montorgueil neighborhood, Jefrey's is a cozy bar perfect for a date. You feel comfortable in its deep velvet armchairs and Chesterfield sofas, and that's important. The bar's woodwork, gramophone, and old bottles displayed in the alcohol library immerse you in a retro London atmosphere. Lit by candlelight, we recommend ordering a bottle. If your date goes wrong, the bar will keep it warm for next time.
