Asian Wok

Craving a flavorful and colorful snack time? Head over to Asian Wok, the must-visit spot in Oberkampf for a delightful culinary journey through Asia with tapas, wok dishes, homemade curries, and oversized cocktails. Everything here is crunchy, melts in your mouth, and each bite takes you from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. And believe us, you’re going to feel right at home! On the tapas side, get ready for a deluge of flavors! To kick things off, dive right into the Ha Kao, those delightful steamed shrimp dumplings, the utterly melt-in-your-mouth Vietnamese Bánh Cuốn, or the Korean caramelized chicken croquettes, a true sweet and savory delight. Need something fresh? The spring rolls are here to save the day, light and fragrant. When hunger strikes seriously, it’s time for the signature dishes. The homemade red and green curries will whisk you straight to Thailand. The marinated beef "Crying Tiger," with its intense and spicy Thai marinade, is a true flavor bomb. And of course, the timeless Pad Thai, still as irresistible in its smoky wok as ever. On the vegetarian side, the options are far from sad, with light yet super delicious dishes, featuring plenty of alternatives like this wok of caramelized eggplants with Thai spices.

The Golden Lily

Both traditional and creative, the cuisine at the Golden Lily has been delighting the taste buds of Parisians with Asian flavors for nearly 30 years. A sure sign of quality, as its success endures to this day! In a wonderfully transporting atmosphere, where greenery blends with tranquility, you can savor Asian specialties that will charm even the most reluctant diners. As proof, Shimin Chen, the mastermind behind this culinary treasure, has won several prestigious cooking competitions in China.

Mian Guan

The best of the best, in our opinion. Hand-pulled noodles made right before your eyes, a rich broth and a generous serving of pork marinated in soy sauce: Mian Guan has something for everyone. With a canteen vibe and super affordable prices, you can enjoy quick, tasty meals without any fuss. Plus, their simple stir-fried noodles with vegetables are a real treat, and the portions are incredibly generous. Perfect for a filling lunch break or a dinner that sends you straight to bed!

Chez Alex Wenzhou

Alex juggles plates that smell like delicious Wenzhou street food. The bao, jiaozi (homemade dumplings), and eggplants with meat are some of the best in the neighborhood. Little bonus: the portions are generous and the service is always smiling. We also come back for the crispy stir-fried dishes and the homemade sauces that elevate every bite. A sure bet.

Address: 24 Rue de Belleville, 75020 Paris, France

Le Grand Bol

Here, forget about the same old stir-fried noodles you've had a thousand times at buffets. They serve more refined specialties like the "precious pagoda pork" and the "bridge-crossing rice noodles" from Yunnan. It’s a culinary journey at a sweet price! Their roast duck is also a must-try, with its crispy skin and juicy meat. Special mention for their spicy dishes that really warm up your taste buds !

Aux Mandarins de Belleville

A charming restaurant where you come for the crispy duck worthy of the finest tables in Beijing, the Chinese fondues, and the homemade dim sum that will make you swoon. If you're looking to feast with all your friends and try a delightful variety of Mandarin dishes, this is the place to book. We absolutely love: their dried green beans, the wonderfully tender eggplants, their crab fried rice, and the shrimp in spicy sauce.

Imperial Ravioli

As its name suggests, this place specializes in ravioli, and they do it wonderfully! Steamed or grilled, filled with meat or vegetables, it's pure joy in every bite. The ravioli soup and mushroom salad are also delicious finds. If you're feeling extra hungry, you can’t go wrong with their sautéed eggplant and sesame noodles, the perfect combo for a super tasty meal in a cozy atmosphere that’s always inviting!

Address: 15 Rue Louis Bonnet, 75011 Paris, France

Hotpot Noodles

Hotpot Noodles is the exciting new spot in the neighborhood that's definitely worth a visit, serving up spicy specialties straight from Chongqing. Here, you can slurp bowls of steaming hot and well-seasoned noodle soup, with a special mention for the beef rib and spicy pork dumplings that will thrill your taste buds. Veggie lovers won't be left out either, with a well-thought-out hot pot version. It's a place that makes you sweat with happiness!

Lao Lane Xang 2

A grand classic of the 13th arrondissement, Lao Lane Xang 2 is loved by everyone! But be careful, don’t let its trendier decor fool you—prices remain the same, which definitely explains the long line outside the restaurant every evening. On the food side, Lao Lane Xang 2 sets the bar high: you’ll find typical dishes from Laos, Vietnam, and even Thailand. For dessert, we recommend their specialty: sticky rice with fresh mango and coconut milk—such a treat!

Shang Palace

Located in the Shangri La Hotel, Shang Palace isn’t your typical Asian restaurant. And that's because its chef, Frank Xu, has earned a Michelin star. So yes, while the budget might be a little higher than what you’d expect in the 13th, if you’re looking to treat yourself, you’ve found the perfect spot! Think traditional herbal soups, stir-fried vegetables, or dim sum. We also recommend trying their fish dishes, like the pan-seared turbot. It’s a fantastic spot for a lovely date!

Address: 10 Av. d'Iéna, 75116 Paris, France

Tricotin

Another beloved spot in the neighborhood, Tricotin is THE canteen of the area. And as if one restaurant wasn't enough, there's a second one right across the street, simply named "Tricotin 2". It's a great place if you’re looking for a not-too-expensive restaurant to take your whole crew since there are lots of big tables. On the menu, you'll find classic dishes like Bo Bun, Phở, and imperial spring rolls. A budget-friendly restaurant you should definitely try at least once!

Address: 15 Av. de Choisy, 75013 Paris, France

Thai Yim 2

This cozy gem tucked away in the 13th district, Thai Yim 2 is a treasure trove of Thai cuisine. You can't miss it when you see the number of Thai people per square meter! The menu features typical dishes like "crying tiger" (a spicy marinated beef dish). Once again, the prices are very affordable, with a lunch menu under €15.

Pho Tai

Super tip alert! This little restaurant hidden in a quiet street of the Chinese neighborhood is a gem. If you're looking for an excellent typical Vietnamese restaurant that's affordable, we highly recommend visiting Pho Tai. Their hearty Bo Bun is divine, and the service is impeccable. Try to arrive early because the dining area is small and the customers are many. And for the latecomers, the restaurant "Pho Tai Tai" is right across the street at number 18, run by the owner’s sister. You'll find the same menu but most importantly, the same prices.

A Day in Hanoi

In just a few years, this restaurant on Rue Daguerre has become the trendy spot in the 14th arrondissement. And for good reason, it’s almost impossible to dine here without a reservation. This success, A Day in Hanoi, is undoubtedly due to its authentic products, straight out of our grandmothers' cookbooks. We recommend the typical Com Niêu (a sizzling pot where caramelized pork finishes cooking with coconut milk and a simmered egg). If you're not convinced yet, know that a full meal will cost you no more than €15.

Delice de Condorcet

Here’s one of those secrets we wish we could keep to ourselves, but it’s impossible not to share the delightful surprise that is Delice de Condorcet, a little Chinese gem that’s truly one of a kind. They serve us divine noodles in all kinds of colors, paired with some fresh little vegetables, and a heap of pastel-colored rainbow dumplings that are so cute we almost hesitate to take a bite. The dumpling dough is thin and delicate, and the fillings (pork, beef, shrimp, or vegetarian) are exquisite. Our taste buds can hardly believe the amazing flavors!

Address: 10 Rue Condorcet, 75009 Paris, France

Chez Ann

The vibe hits you right as you step in: a vibrant garden and big smiles, the two sisters Annie and Anning welcome you to their zen retreat in the heart of the bustling 10th district. Here, everything is designed for you to feel good, from fresh dim sums to steaming cups of tea, along with delightful music and cozy furniture.

Address: 29 Rue de l'Échiquier, 75010 Paris, France

At TaoKan

The legend says that TaoKan was one of the first Chinese restaurants in Paris. It hasn't lost its reputation and still holds a spot on lists like this one. The menu features delicious classics with that little extra something!

888 NIGHTMARKET | 一村夜话

Located just a stone's throw from Beaubourg, 888 NIGHTMARKET takes you on an immersive experience in the heart of Chinese night markets. On the agenda: a menu that's half street food, half restaurant with an amazing value for money. You'll love the melting eggplants, the grilled dumplings made from a family recipe, and especially the Korean fried chicken with its sweet and spicy sauce, but above all the juicy lamb skewers with secret spices, a true emblem of Chinese night markets. An authentic and delicious place we adore for a plunge into China as if you were there!

Kapunka

If Kapunka means "thank you" in Thai, it's no coincidence. It's the first word that comes to mind when you step out of these lovely restaurants with stylish decor. On the menu, there are classics of Thai cuisine beautifully executed: mikati (a recipe made with noodles, peanuts, and coconut), satay skewers, or delightful spring rolls. A sure bet for a quick bite, with a Thai beer in hand! Good news: Kapunka now includes 4 restaurants in Paris, all gluten-free, with a 100% vegan option in the 2nd arrondissement.
