Ibrik, the most Greek
The red door of this charming coffee shop in the 9th arrondissement sparks our curiosity, and the Greek eye above announces the theme of this brunch. We settle upstairs where the simple wooden coffee tables perfectly blend with the flowery banquettes and hanging plants. We already feel at home. And that was before tasting the mezze plate composed of labneh with zaatar, cherry tomato salad, homemade pickles, excellent hummus and ground meat, eggplant caviar, and pa...
in a pita to enjoy them.6ux3Gm4PM
Since the Greeks are as food lovers as we are, we continue with a shakshouka with peppers, tomatoes and eggs - with an extra feta strongly advised. We end on a sweet and pleasant note and choose from their delicious chocolate fondant, their Greek yogurt with fresh and dried fruits, or their famous pistachio cake. The good homemade iced tea is perfect to refresh yourself before trying their Ibrik coffee, a specialty from the Balkans, where the coffee is heated in the sand in a small pot bearing the same name.

MG ROAD, the most Indian
It is in the heart of the Marais that we meet at Bombay. We are seduced by a modern Indian cuisine served in the midst of an elegant and refined decor.Inspired by the ancient "Iranian" cafes held by Persian immigrants in the 19th century, this place has now become legendary. These cafes were once essential to the social life of Bombay. At MG Road, just like in Bombay, you can eat quickly and deliciously, with tasty traditional dishes, immersed in a bistro decor where mirrors and family photos mingle. On the Sunday menu, a colorful, crunchy, and fragrant brunch awaits you, far from the avocado toast and eggs Benedict that dominate social media.

We start with an omelette or scrambled eggs masala, followed by a perfectly flavored vegetarian or chicken biryani with Indian spices, accompanied by a soft butter naan. We especially appreciate the salad of the day composed of carrots, tomatoes, and red onions, sprinkled with pomegranates for a touch of freshness. If we're feeling more indulgent, we share their marvelous mushroom naan with truffle oil, which deserves special attention. We end on a beautiful note with a spice cake and Greek yogurt topped with honey or mango coulis of your choice, and homemade granola. The masala chai is the final touch that warms our hearts.

Wunderbär, the most German
If we weren't already tempted by MG Road's brunch, we might be tempted by the Wunderbär's brunch. Located in the heart of Paris, this German-inspired restaurant offers a brunch formula that will satisfy all appetites. The menu is filled with a variety of traditional German dishes, including pretzels, sausages, and sauerkraut. But the highlight of their brunch is their famous schnitzel, a breaded and fried veal cutlet that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If you're looking for a taste of Germany in Paris, Wunderbär is the place to go.
When it comes to German cuisine, we quickly set it aside when we discovered the Wunderbär restaurant. Welcomed by a smiling and attentive staff, we embark on a journey to Berlin by ordering a delicious currywurst served with equally original and tasty accompaniments. We oscillate between sautéed potatoes in celery vinaigrette, a fresh and crunchy cabbage salad, and a carrot soup. We don't stop there, and we give in to a huge, cheesy pretzel, warm and fluffy.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
And to finish off in style, a beautifully garnished apple strudel, with a sweet cinnamon scent. As for drinks, we taste a freshly pressed kiwi juice. Everything is homemade and we applaud the freshness of the products. For only 22 euros, you will leave satisfied without having hurt your wallet, and most importantly, pleased to have reconciled with German gastronomy!

On the menu, a brunch formula for €21 composed of an assortment of salatims (meaning salad in Hebrew) made of red cabbage, lemon-grated carrots, hummus, followed by a dish of the day (either a slow-cooked meat or a fish), an amazing shakshouka and, to finish beautifully, an assortment of desserts: a moist chocolate babka, an orange blossom cake, and a small fruit salad - just for the sake of it.
