The most romantic: Musée de la vie romantique
We're talking about the Romantic era here, of course, not a place dedicated to Care Bears. So, amidst portraits, objects, furniture, and literature, we wander through the century of Georges Sand and Chopin... On the ground floor, you'll find George Sand's memorabilia: portraits, furniture, and jewelry from the 18th and 19th centuries - bequeathed by her granddaughter Aurore Lauth-Sand. And on the first floor, you'll find paintings by the artist Ary Scheffer surrounded by works from his contemporaries. And let's not forget the hidden gem: its adorable little cozy garden. Go ahead and take a stroll there during your lunch break, for a change of scenery. But be aware, it's closed on Mondays.
