2. Be amazed by this incredible collection of pathological wax figures
If you're faint of heart, you might want to skip this : the mysterious Museum of Wax Models at Saint-Louis Hospital, usually open by appointment only, will exceptionally welcome visitors on September 20 and 21. Nestled in one of the oldest hospitals in Paris (established in 1607, can you believe it !), this place has retained all its charm : mosaic floors, antique woodwork, a skylight filled with natural light, and a unique ambiance.an atmosphere halfway between the 19th-century medical cabinet and a natural history museum. Here, nearly 5,000 ultra-realistic wax casts, created between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are displayed in large varnished wooden showcases. These pieces reproduce astonishingly precise dermatological lesions for educational purposes and bear witness to the medical advances of the time. A rare, amazing visit for those with strong stomachs.

4. Become a pilot for a day in a simulation at Roissy – Charles de Gaulle Airport
What if you could steer your own plane instead of just being a passenger? These European Heritage Days are also a chance to dive into the behind-the-scenes of air transport, and for this, head to the Roissy – Charles de Gaulle Airport. The highlight of the show? A flight simulation experience at the House of the Environment. You’ll take control of a CESSNA 172 and put your piloting skills to the test in a super realistic simulator. It's the perfect activity for an adrenaline rush, but it won't overshadow all the other fun activities planned at the airport: a listening stand in a real Airbus A380 cabin to compare the sounds of planes from yesterday and today, a guided bus tour of the restricted area of the airport, a special Terminal 2 circuit led by an architect to learn all about the site's evolution... Soon, aviation will hold no secrets for you!
