Manga. A whole art! at the Guimet Museum

Attention to all fans of Japanese culture, and more specifically manga. This winter, the Asian Arts Museum is shining a spotlight on the art of Japanese comics. Through original panels, illustrated books from the 18th century, and painted scrolls, the exhibition explores the origins and evolution of manga. As you wander through the galleries, manga reveals its influences, drawing from both traditional Japanese culture and satirical press, early animations, and even Western culture. The institution also highlights the incredible talent of mangaka through a rich schedule of related events, much to our delight.

Dinosaurs at the Atelier des Lumières

To travel through time, you don’t need a fancy machine or a DeLorean: this winter, just push open the doors of the Atelier des Lumières and find yourself projected… back to the age of dinosaurs. This new immersive exhibition, created with the Lightroom studio, transforms the monumental walls of the Atelier into a living mural where the greatest creatures that Earth has ever known roar. Tyrannosaurus rex, Tric...Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, or Brontosaurus : the stars of the Jurassic come back to life before our eyes, in a spectacular ballet of images and enveloping sounds, and it’s definitely worth the trip.

The Proof of Reality at the Galerie VU’

Until next year, the Galerie VU’ is exploring the relationship between fiction and photography through an exhibition as eclectic as it is poetic. By bringing together 4 talented artists, the institution invites us to rethink our perception of reality and to be carried away into a universe defined solely by the limits of imagination. Here, far fromtranscribing a simple image of reality, photography becomes a gateway to creation, drawing connections with history, literature, and poetry through a fascinating dialogue among today's artists. Unique shots that will leave no one indifferent.

Flops ?! at the Museum of Arts and Crafts

As the saying goes, to err is human. Yet, it sometimes leads to essential creations (like tarte Tatin) or historical discoveries (think Christopher Columbus and America). In other instances, it just gives birth to quirky objects that are useless, but no less fascinating. These are all those inventions straddling the line between pure genius and disconnected designs that are showcased at the Museum of Arts and Crafts.

ng>. A funny, unique, and special moment that illustrates the entire history of human creation and its technical evolution.

Eva Jospin and Claire Tabouret at the Grand Palais

To end the year on a high note, two unmissable names from contemporary French art will take center stage at the Grand Palais: Eva Jospin and Claire Tabouret. Expect truly fascinating exceptional showcases! On one side, the mysterious forests of Eva Jospin, with her monumental cardboard sculptures as delicate as embroidery, will take us on a journey through a magical imaginary world filled with mystery and wonder. On the other side, the captivating canvases of Claire Tabouret will immerse us in a highly sensitive universe populated by children, games of shadow and light, and overflowing red lipstick. It's a dialogue that's set to be as intense as it is aesthetic.
