New Skies, New Earth at the Paris Foreign Missions

Always, the artist has a special role. They stand at the border between the real and the imaginary, opening the doors to a new world and offering us a fresh perspective on the earth around us. They give shape to the invisible and sketch the future. It’s this poetic and hopeful philosophy that the Paris Foreign Missions illuminate by inviting seven artists from the Far East to express themselves. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video—all mediums will be used here to take us on a journey to new skies...

A window against time at the Drawing Lab

Once in a while, the Drawing Lab steps out of its usual space to take over the areas of the Drawing Hotel for its new exhibition. On the agenda, 15 artists selected during the Drawing Factory residency invite us to explore the venue from the basement to the rooftop, including the terrace, the reception, the bar, and even the restrooms. It’s a comprehensive, eclectic, and colorful showcase of everything drawing can be. Our favorite? The work of Thibaut Huchard, visible from the hotel’s reception, has taken us on a ...magical and mystical world.

It's been a while since the artist JRhadn't made his art speak in the capital, but no need to worry, the silence was only temporary. After the Palais Garnier, our street artist is now taking on the Pont-Neuf this year. Through a grandiose trompe-l'œil, he transforms the bridge into an immersive cavern, paying tribute to the historic work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude who wrapped the monument in 1985. Paris, Open at Night at the Roger-Viollet Gallery

Among these <many nicknames, the French capital is known as the City of Light, and there's a good reason for that. As night falls, the lights from apartments, shop windows, and clubs come to illuminate it with a thousand sparks, offering us a magical show, with the highlight undoubtedly being the sparkles of the Eiffel Tower. With summer just around the corner, and Parisian nights becoming thrilling, the Roger-Viollet gallery invites us to explore a selection of photos to discover the capital in a different light… or rather a different night!
