The Navy and the Painters at the Marine Museum

To celebrate the 400 years of the Navy, the most nautical institution in Paris is exploring the connections between creation, power, and maritime imagination. Through more than 150 works by 90 artists, the museum traces the history of the conquest of the seas, and the evolution of the maritime world, taking us on a journey across the waves from the 17th to the 20th century. It’s a wonderful opportunity to delve into the representation of the military maritime world and, more broadly, the naval scene and its relationship with power over the years.
