Monet and Rothko meet at the Musée des Impressionnismes de Giverny

In the spring of 2022, the Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny presents an exceptional dialogue between the works of Claude Monet and Mark Rothko. Bringing together the late paintings of the master of Impressionism and the enigmatic colors of the American artist, the Monet/Rothko exhibition offers visitors an immersive experience that invites us to rediscover these magnificent artists. How does the bluish hue on the verge of purple in Monet's Nymphéas avec rameaux de saule find its echo in Mark Rothko's 1957 painting, Untitled? It's all a matter of nuances, transitions. And above all, emotions. This exhibition is something to be experienced rather than conceptualized.

Letters from Internment, from Vel d'Hiv to Auschwitz at the Memorial of the Shoah, Drancy

From March 27 to December 22, 2022, the Memorial of the Shoah in Drancy will host the exhibition "Tomorrow is when we leave: Letters from Internment, from Vel d'Hiv to Auschwitz." These letters bear witness to the living conditions, hunger, and misery, and above all, the concern and even resignation towards the tragedy. The end is near, it is known, but these last words bring a breath of humanity, a breath of hope that commands - to those who can - to continue living.
