Ingres, the Artist and his Princes
at Chantilly Castle 

How did Ingres, the prince of artists, become the artist of princes with the advent of the July Monarchy (1830-1848)? You will explore this question at Chantilly Castle: the exhibition will present a panorama of Ingres' career, from his early years in Paris to his later years. Over 100 works from national and international collections, including paintings and drawings, will allow you to understand the long and methodical work of one of the greatest French painters.

Les Extatiques
at Paris La Défense

The summer season has begun, and so has the Les Extatiques: for this 6th edition, a new contemplative journey invites you to discover artworks, some of which are unpublished, from the esplanade of La Défense to the gardens of La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt. This year, the 8 invited artists are Joëlle Allet, Amélie Bertrand, Jérémy Gobé, Philip Haas, Cornelia Konrads, Julien Salaud, Bob Verschueren and Erwin Wurm. The cream of the crop of the international artistic scene, who will exhibit under the theme of the four elements: fire, air, water, and earth.nbsp;

After the eclipse

The summer program of the Delacroix Museum

Degas in Black and White
at the BnF 

The François Mitterrand Library is not done organizing unprecedented exhibitions around influential artists from our history: this time, it’s the impressionist Edgar Degas (1834-1917) who is honored, especially his unique approach to black and white. He expresses it through printmaking and photography, as well as drawing and painting: a chronological and thematic journey will reveal his learning of black and white through the recurring motifs that nourish his research.

Queens of the Ring
at the Pop-up Venue 

You don't know about lucha libre yet, this art between combat sports and theater? Head to the Queens of the Ring exhibition to discover this sport and the queens who practice it through an innovative photo series by Théo Saffroy. These pictures brilliantly document the daily lives of professional female wrestlers, the luchadoras, who are particularly badass, and their defense of women's place in the wrestling ring in Mexico. The opening will take place on Friday, July 7th, featuring a concert, DJ sets, and Mexican cuisine. It's gonna be awesome!

Close by, we expected nothing less from Point Éphémère.
