Juliette and Romeo, at the 13th Art
Juliette and Romeo reimagines Shakespeare’s myth in a distinctly contemporary way. Dance, urban gestures, and neo-classical music inject new urgency into this tale of impossible love. Sister Laurence becomes a slam-narrator: her rhythmic words carry the tragedy and make the passion, hatred, and fatalism more intense than ever.

The Bourgeois Gentleman, at Theatre Antoine
Jean-Paul Rouve steps into the shoes of one of the most famous characters by Molière. In this comedy-ballet where theater, music, and dance come together in perfect harmony, Monsieur Jourdain, a wealthy bourgeois, tries to reach the idealized world of nobility. To achieve this, he surrounds himself with masters experts in their fields, from dance to fencing, and even philosophy. Using a multitude of misunderstandings, this play from 1670 — more relevant than ever — questions the notions of power, appearances, and social class differences.
