Renversante, at the Théâtre de la Concorde
What if, for once, we flipped the power dynamics? What if women had a say in everything, all the time? What if men had to handle all the household chores and regularly turned into mere objects of advertising? It's in this completely opposite world that the Théâtre de la Concorde invites us to dive into for a few days with Renversante,a play full of creativity, humor, and playful irony. In this adaptation of the novel by Florence Hinckel, the fraternal twins Léa and Tom – played by Léna Bréban (who is also the director) and Antoine Prud’homme de la Boussinière – ponder the world around them, the superiority of women over men, and their matriarchal society.

Colorature, at the Théâtre Actuel La BruyèreIn 1930s New York, the wealthy Florence Foster Jenkins, convinced she is an extraordinary soprano, decides to share her voice with the public. A seemingly harmless idea, except for one tiny detail: she sings incredibly off-key, butchering the greatest opera arias without the slightest awareness of it. Sitting at her piano, Cosme McMoon remembers the twelve years spent accompanying this quirky diva. Together they will experience an astonishingly rapid rise, all the way to a performance at Carnegie Hall. On stage, Agnès Bove steps into the shoes of this character. The ambitious Castafiore with her sharp retorts, while Grégori Baquet delights us with his humor and piano skills. The journey of a historic duo is brilliantly recounted by a touching pair. We laugh a lot, grit our teeth often, and leave feeling touched.
