at MAIF Social Club

Until February, MAIF Social Club invites you to slow down with its exhibition The Time it Takes. A three-part expo that takes us through the paradoxes of time, the absurdity of our frenetic rhythms, and highlights the virtues of slowness. All in a variety of works by 12 different artists, including sculptures, textile creations, murals, installations, interactive and sound works... In short, it's an expo that invites us to take the time and to pause all the hustle and bustle of the city.

New Gallery of the History of the Palace of Versailles

To celebrate its 400th anniversary, the Palace of Versailles has gone all out: guided tours that trace the history of the Palace through the centuries, theatrical tours and workshops to discover as a family, a big quiz, and above all, a brand new gallery of history. Located on the ground floor of the north wing, in the space that once housed the apartments of high-ranking court officials, this new gallery allows visitors to better understand the creation of this historic place, its transformations and upheavals that have shaped its history, from its construction until now.grave; our days. Paintings of kings, queens, and artists who have shaped Versailles over the centuries, paintings of the Castle and its gardens, remnants of the vanished Versailles... In total, more than 120 works from the collections of Versailles, including some exhibited for the very first time, are presented in the gallery, along with a digital and educational setup. In short, Versailles will soon have no more secrets for you.

Oceans, the Immersive Odyssey at the Atelier des Lumières

The Atelier des Lumières takes us deep into the ocean with the immersive exhibition Oceans, the Immersive Odyssey. Brian Skerry, the renowned photographer from National Geographic since 1998 and eleven-time winner of the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, takes us on an extraordinary journey through the oceans of the world. His photographs captivate marine life, from the colorful fish of coral reefs to majestic killer whales, from playful sharks and dolphins to polar seals. This immersive experience reveals the beauty and fragility of our seas, providing visitors with unforgettable moments amidst breathtaking images, while also raising awareness about the environmental issues threatening these vast expanses.

From October 21stFrom January 7th until 2024, don't miss out on the Salon de Montrouge at the Beffroi! This amazing multidisciplinary event reveals, encourages, and supports contemporary and emerging artists. Its goal? To provide young talents with a platform for exhibiting, networking, and gaining visibility among art professionals and the general public. For its 67th edition, the Salon will showcase 36 emerging artists from around the world, carefully selected from over 2000 received applications, as well as 3 guest artists (including a collective) with diverse practices such as painting, installation, sculpture, design, photography, and more. All of this will take place in a dynamic scenography that adapts and welcomes each artwork in the spacious 1000m2 exhibition hall of the exceptional Beffroi building in Montrouge. All of this forms a whole at the City Hall

Since 2018, the 1% art market prize has been supporting artistic creation, and especially artists who dedicate their work to visual arts, all initiated by the City of Paris and the Crédit Municipal de Paris. The latter devotes 1% of its annual turnover from its 80 auctions and opens up a sustainable patronage policy for contemporary art. The winning artworks selected by the jury (chaired by Émilie Renard, director of the art and research center Bétonsalon) will be exhibited in the Saint-Jean room at City Hall from October 14th to November 12th. The theme of this 4th edition? The upcoming Olympic Games in the capital. The artworks revolve around cultivated bodies... It's a beautiful representative panorama of our time, with its desires and doubts, formed by effort or glorified by the absurd... a beautiful union between art and sport.
