In the Land of the Rising Sun
Through his vibrant portraits, breathtaking landscapes, and striking black and white still lifes, photographer Pierre-Elie de Pibrac paints an Ephemeral Portrait of Japan. The artist traveled across the country from December 2019 to August 2020 to create his series "Hakanai Sonzai", which means "I feel like an ephemeral creature". It was an immersive journey where he encountered unique individuals: yakuza members, Fukushima survivors, and even hikikomoris (people who live secluded in their rooms, disconnected from the outside world).

Sensory Journey
From fields of rare essences to the perfumer's workshop, from the streets of the medina to the hammam, from sacred spaces to the heart of the home... perfume dwells in Arabian lands. With Perfumes of the Orient, the Arab World Institute pays tribute to this ancient and vibrant civilization of perfumes, through the history of spice trade and the incense route, the practices related to perfume making, objects infused with floral waters, and spectacular bouquets of jasmine or narcissus. All portrayed through narratives that stimulate all our senses, with specially created olfactory devices by perfume creator Christopher Sheldrake.

The Tour of the USA

In 1939, at the young age of 17, the artist embarked on a crazy project, that of crossing the United States from West to East. She traveled long distances by car, train, or bus, and for the rest, she captured images on her faithful travel companion, her bicycle. In four months, she recorded 350 photographs of urban views, self-portraits, and astonishing compositions...
